New Planned Parenthood Video: Using “Less Crunchy Techniques” Means More Intact Parts To Sell And Then Medical Director Can Finally Get That Lamborghini She Really Wants

Filed under: General — Dana @ 9:52 am

[guest post by Dana]

Coming on the heels of the harrowing video involving Obama adviser, Deborah Nucatola, the Center for Medical Progress has posted another Planned Parenthood video wherein Mary Gatter, Medical director at Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley in California, discusses selling fetal baby parts with buyers. The Center for Medical Progress says that they will release a new video every week.

In the video, Gatter can be seen discussing the price for aborted baby parts with buyers, stating the prices for baby’s liver, head or heart are negotiable.

Further:

She also tells the officials that she could talk with the Planned Parenthood abortion practitioners to potentially alter the abortion procedure to kill the baby in a way that would best preserve those body parts after the unborn child is killed in the abortion.

The video shows Gatter haggling over payments for intact fetal specimens and offering to use a “less crunchy technique” to get more intact body parts.

The discussion then turns to monetary compensation:

Actors posing as buyers ask Gatter, “What would you expect for intact [fetal] tissue?

“Well, why don’t you start by telling me what you’re used to paying!” Gatter replies.

Gatter continues: “You know, in negotiations whoever throws out the figure first is at a loss, right?” She explains, “I just don’t want to lowball,” before suggesting, “$75 a specimen.”

Gatter twice recites Planned Parenthood messaging on fetal tissue collection, “We’re not in it for the money,” and “The money is not the important thing,” but she immediately qualifies each statement with, respectively, “But what were you thinking of?” and, “But it has to be big enough that it’s worthwhile for me.”

Gatter also admits that in prior fetal tissue deals, Planned Parenthood received payment in spite of incurring no cost: “It was logistically very easy for us, we didn’t have to do anything. So there was compensation for this.” She accepts a higher price of $100 per specimen understanding that it will be only for high-quality fetal organs: “Now, this is for tissue that you actually take, not just tissue that someone volunteers and you can’t find anything, right?”

For Gatter and Planned Parenthood, it’s all about the money:

By the lunch’s end, Gatter suggests $100 per specimen is not enough and concludes, “Let me just figure out what others are getting, and if this is in the ballpark, then it’s fine, if it’s still low, then we can bump it up. I want a Lamborghini.”

Gatter also offers to ask the doctor performing the abortions whether he would modify the method used to procure more intact tissue. (Federal law requires that no alteration in the timing or method of abortion be done for the purposes of fetal tissue collection 42 U.S.C. 289g-1)

Full uncut hour-long video:

It’s all about ultra-slick rides and money made on the backs of babies. Literally.

  1. Hello.

    Dana (86e864)

  2. At $100 per unit, do they get fetus skin for their lampshade manufacturing business, or is that extra?

    Russ from Winterset (728daf)

  3. Oh, but the video’s been “heavily edited!”

I’m going to heavily edit the Zapruder film, bring JFK back to life.

    CrustyB (69f730)

  4. she didn’t even get a tasty salad out of the deal

    happyfeet (831175)

  5. I wonder how many PP workers are dreading their own shoe dropping. With more weeks of video promised, you just know they are cringing in their boots, trying to remember what they actually said.

    PatAZ (9d1bb3)

  6. What would Jonathan Swift say about this?

    Simon Jester (27504e)

  7. We need to go after their customers and their grant money, too. And some doctors, clinics and labs need to lose their licenses.

    nk (dbc370)

  8. Please don’t tell my mother I work for Planned Parenthood, she thinks I smuggle Thai Ladyboys.

    C. S. P. Schofield (ab2cdc)

  9. We need someone to sue them, put these people under oath, and ask them if their compensation is affected by signing on these bio firms.

The car comment was made in jest, I’m sure, but why would she even think of it if she were not making money off the deal?

If this was all about research, why these financial negotiations?

    Patricia (5fc097)

  10. We fought the murdering Nazi’s. We stopped the murdering Soviets. And now we have sunk to the depths of depravity of murdering unborn babies and parting them out for Italian cars. What a country progressives have made out of the United States. What a country. I am ashamed.

    Hoagie (f4eb27)

  11. if it were really that lucrative to where you could buy a sexy zoom zoom lamborghini car the biologics companies would just open their own clinics and do the abortions for free i bet

    happyfeet (831175)

  12. It’s interesting you say that, PatAZ, because there is a tweet making the rounds that appears to be an effort at a pre-emptive strike from PP:

Planned Parenthood warns of sting videos to come. This time, they could be racially-charged: http://on.msnbc.com/1OsIxIm

Given that PP’s founder, Margaret Sanger, was a known racist and eugenicist, they should be worried. What if there are PP videos yet to come which discuss high availability of minority baby parts, or price differentials between race of babies, or worse, “buyers” requesting specific races and PP accomodating…

    Dana (86e864)

  13. Dr. Gatter went to Harvard just like Mitt Romney and Ted Cruz but of these three it’s only Mr. Romney what can realistically afford a lamborghini Dana

for Dr. Gatter and Mr. Senator Cruz a lamborghini would be a very impractical purchase

this is obvious to anyone what is willing to do the analysis

    happyfeet (831175)

  14. I want a Mercedes

    JD (9cad5d)

  15. To PP, it’s meat farming.

    Colonel Haiku (b52e12)

  16. a mercedes would be much more practical

oh. She *did* get a tasty salad – she got the beet salad with chicken. At first I thought she had the reuben.

  17. My infant son passed away 35 days ago. We knew for only a few days before birth that his chances were slim, and it was so sudden that when I returned home from the hospital I found his crib in mid-assembly. It is very cruel and has broken my faith.

I see so many examples of people given healthy children who do not cherish them, or do not educate and care for them, or even abuse them. It doesn’t make any sense. I can’t contemplate someone killing their child. It is like saying up is down, and I can’t wrap my mind around it. Nucatola uses gallows humor with that dry shock of making money and inhuman descriptions of parts and procedures because she knows what her trade is. The only way to adapt is to suffocate her own heart. There is no righteousness about the right to choose in those eyes. She does not end her day satisfied with the good she has seen.

    Dustin (2a8be7)

  18. Oh, Dustin, I’m so sorry.

    nk (dbc370)

  19. prayers for you, dustin

    narciso (ee1f88)

  20. Oh Dustin,

I am so very sorry for your loss. I will be keeping you and your wife in prayer as you stumble through grief and find your way back home. And you will, Dustin. With time, and with God oh, so gently leading you through and out of this dark tunnel. There will come light eventually. Broken faith is His specialty. May the peace that surpasses all understanding, all finite thought and emotion of mortal man, envelop you and your wife with the assurance that dear Joshua is now in joy, face to face with the Lord.

    Love and prayers to you.

    Dana (86e864)

  21. That is a true heartbreaker and something one wishes no one would have to endure. Sincere thoughts, prayers and wishes for strength and understanding, Dustin.

    Colonel Haiku (b52e12)

  22. oh that’s awful especially not knowing

my friend NG’s last pregnancy went very badly and lil baby O only had a few hours, but she knew for months and months they were facing a battle and they didn’t do up a nursery or anything

she’s pregnant again and everything looks good so far and she’s about to go on leave

this one is what they call a rainbow baby

  23. Planned Parenthood’s nudge-nudge, wink-wink approach to what constitutes immoral, unethical and – ultimately – criminal activities highlights the deep sickness that has been loosed upon America. There is evil afoot.

    Colonel Haiku (b52e12)

  24. According to Planned Parenthood there may be up to 65 videos. So now Planned Parenthood is employing the same tactics as ACORN. Don’t address their wrongdoing, say the methods used to make the videos were illegal.

Planned Parenthood complained to Congress that undercover investigators from the Center for Medical Progress had harassed and unlawfully infiltrated its clinics for years.

Planned Parenthood also accuses Daleiden’s setting up a phony corporation may have violated state and federal laws involving “corporate filings and taxes.”

I don’t know. I think after a point in time, after some line of no return has been crossed, that’s when the conscience is seared. When that happens, people like Nucatola sleep just fine at night. And from then on, they live in a perpetual state of degeneration and have become reprobate. It is their “normal”. Judgement will of course eventually be theirs, as with all of us.

I think having a conscience that screams out in people like Nucatola is way back at the beginning when doing their first procedure(s) and rationalizing that it’s in the women’s best interest that this blob of tissue, blood and goo is being “extracted”, that it is nothing more than tissue, blood and goo – and it feels nothing. That is where the struggle is, and once some sort of line is crossed and one has effectively talked themselves into believing their rationalizations, it becomes business as usual. On the surface anyway. The destruction of the heart, however, goes on without interruption.

    Dana (86e864)

  26. they say they do 798 surgical abortions a year at this clinic

and the make-pretend biologics company says they need second-trimester abortions to get the kind of tissue they need in a lot of cases

so some number of that 798 don’t qualify (88 percent of abortions happen in the first-trimester)

but even if they all did qualify the maximum amount of incremental revenue to the clinic would be $79,800

but in real life that number would be way less

    happyfeet (831175)

  27. I don’t believe after all these years that even one cure has come out of embryonic stem cells. In every case they get tumors or terminate the experiment before tumors grow. Yet over 72 actual cures from adult stem cells. Isn’t that the reason they want baby parts, for embryonic stem cells?

This is how the left works. If we complain about crime of illegal aliens, they use statistics for ALL immigrants. If we complain about voter fraud of ACORN, they complain about how that information was obtained. If there are complaints that a senator’s office is not answering phones on an issue, arrest the people showing the lie. If Planned Parenthood is found selling baby parts, accuse the investigators of illegally setting up the corporation used to catch Planned Parenthood’s bad behavior.

If you point out bad Planned Parenthood actions, they ask you why you want to take away cancer screening for poor women.

They will never admit that their behavior is reprehensible, the problem is always with those bringing their actions to the light of day.

    Tanny O'Haley (c674c7)

  28. 10. We fought the murdering Nazi’s…

    Hoagie (f4eb27) — 7/21/2015 @ 10:22 am

Look on the bright side, Hoagie. At least PP has to commit their crimes in secret. That’s not the case in other countries.

The Nazis tried to implement euthanasia in the Netherlands during WWII. Holland was the only country occupied by the Nazis where the doctors refused to comply with the order. They were ordered to only treat people who had a good chance of recovery. They openly defied that order. No Dutch doctor ever participated in one euthanasia death during the entire occupation. The Nazi who gave the euthanasia order was convicted of war crimes and executed.

A conservative British journalist noted in 1990 that only took a few decades for euthanasia in Holland to go from being a war crime to a human right.

Now Dutch doctors are quite open, even proud despite the fact it remains technically illegal, of making decisions about who would be better off dead. Those patients marked for death don’t even have a say in it anymore.

    Steve57 (7aa1f2)

  29. 798 abortions * 100$ = $79,800. So, your math checks out if they only get ONE sample per baby. Since they can get multiple organs, the math gets fuzzy [and since we doubt that each abortion can yield useful specimens, fuzzier still.]

Honestly, it doesn’t matter HOW much money is being made off it. The profit motive has been made clear in this video and the last. It is illegal to sell organs for ANY amount of profit.

No one would use the excuse “Well, Enron was only cheating people a little bit.”

    Same deal here.

    Matt S (f70cda)

  30. The only way butchering babies can bring in Lambo-sized profits is if you do it on an industrial scale.

Only PP’s abortion business is large enough to pull it off.

I am so sorry. I cannot imagine your pain at losing precious Joshua, but I have felt like my faith was broken and I know how painful that was. It helped me to realize that I was the broken one, not my faith, and it was my faith and family that put me back together.

Dustin, my sympathies to you and your wife. But you did say in a post yesterday (or recently) that you didn’t necessarily know or care about the politics of the people around you. But if a member of your circle of friends and family members was very ideologically similar to Deborah Nucatola or Mary Gatter, I think it would be very crucial that you be fully aware of that.

    Mark (db7d10)

  67. Obama the killer addressing Planned Parenthood:

“As long as we’ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we’ve got to fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you’ve also got a president who’s going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way,” said Obama. “Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you.”

Did this radical pig really have the balls to end that with “God bless you”? What kind of animals are in charge of this country?

    Hoagie (f4eb27)

  68. You do know that Hitler was a vegetarian.

Moreover, he and his cabal were big animal-rights fans. The Third Reich early on in its bloody existence apparently enacted legislation that reflected such sentiment.

Such non-widely disseminated bits of history should be placed in the same category with the fact that a US president proud of his liberalism or leftism, Woodrow Wilson, approved laws that segregated service windows at US post offices and enforced blatant racial discrimination in the hiring of government employees, etc.

    Mark (db7d10)

  69. You know, if Trump would rant about this, instead of going after other Republicans, he might be more useful to the cause. But I suspect it’s all about Donald.

As for Wilson – worst President ever. racist who got covered up by academia. You left out he segregated the military , refused to allow for mention of racial equality at the Versailles Treaty. And I’m still waiting for someone to provide a quote of Wilson’s where he condemns any lynching.

    seeRpea (27b891)

  71. As for Wilson – worst President ever.

History is repeating itself because another liberal loon, the guy now occupying the White House, truly is the worst US president ever.

BTW, one of the forumers claimed awhile back that Wilson’s racism could be somewhat understood (if not rationalized away) because of his southern origins. I then pointed out that another liberal with surprisingly bigoted qualities, Franklin Roosevelt, was New-York born and bred, and definitely more Yankee than Confederate.

    Mark (db7d10)

  72. Thanks everyone for the thoughtful words. It means something to me. Simon, I am fluent in typo as everyone here can attest.

Those extreme views are so alien to me that it goes beyond a different set of ideas or a mere ideology. That’s more like being a psychopath to me.

I was very amused recently when someone I’ve been pals with for two years thought I was probably pretty liberal. I think a lot of Americans have accepted our political system as a total mess and have justifiably moved on to thinking about less tedious matters. And there are so many good people who just have different ideologies. We may disagree about this, but I really don’t think a political viewpoint is an essential aspect of someone’s true character. Are they honest, do they want to help others, do they have the will and the courage to do so… they can love Obama and I’m ok with that if I think they have good character (and I see such folks all the time). Are they wrong about him? Yeah. But I don’t think it matters.

Should not *all* the convictions she obtained be thoroughly reviewed?

  76. It gets worse in that case, seeRpea. The liar who claimed to be a victim of a crime that never happened claimed that when she came to she was in an abandoned building she had never seen before.

But the prosecutor knew she had been there many times. Friends said she had been to that place many times to smoke pot and drink.

The guy is out now, his conviction vacated. Lumsford actually sided with the defense on this, but not out of any sense of right and wrong. To protect the system of injustice she swims in, where technically she has an obligation to do justice but in reality she has an obsession with winning at all costs.

I have the loveliest neighbors ever. They voted Obama both times and Gore before that. They are kind, generous, honest and thoughtful people. Over the years, we have discussed politics, but I’ve never felt the need to condemn nor persuade. If an opportunity opens up to share my thoughts on the distinct advantages of conservatism to the individual and country as a whole, I will and have opined and engaged. There is no rancor and no one is offended. Acceptance of them has kept the political discussion door open. And now, many years into the relationship, I can track the evolution from the beginning when their vote and principles lined up on the liberal side, then the slow shifting of their principles to a more conservative bent and yet their vote remained Democrat. Now with this upcoming election, it will be interesting to see whether their vote will reflect the principles they live by, which are conservative. The joke at every election, big and small, has always been how we all just cancel out each other’s vote. Perhaps in 2016, it will be the first time there will be no need to joke.

    Dana (86e864)

  79. The car comment was made in jest, I’m sure, but why would she even think of it if she were not making money off the deal?

If this was all about research, why these financial negotiations?
    Patricia (5fc097) — 7/21/2015 @ 10:21 am

exactly. They should have been discussing the costs of “doing business” (gag) and not negotiating. As others are pointing out all around the web, reimbursements (disgusting but legal for PP) for expenses should be fixed in dollar amts. It’s only selling prices (illegal) that are negotiable.

    no one of consequence (325a59)

And that is why the right must be demonized. If they’re held to be merely wrong, people might discover that their position is the more logical. So we resort to emotion.
