Peter Schweizer: Snuffleupagus Still Has Some Disclosing to Do

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 4:31 pm

Peter Schweizer, who was trashed by George Snuffleupagus, says the Clinton sycophant still has much he has not disclosed to ABC viewers:

[E]ven though he has apologized to his viewers for keeping this information from both his audience and his bosses, there is much that Stephanopoulos has yet to disclose to his viewers. Indeed, far from being a passive donor who strokes Clinton Foundation checks from afar, a closer look reveals that Stephanopoulos is an ardent and engaged Clinton Foundation advocate.

For example, in his on air apology for this ethical mess, Stephanopoulos did not disclose that in 2006 he was a featured attendee and panel moderator at the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI).

He did not disclose that in 2007, he was a featured attendee at the CGI annual meeting, a gathering also attended by several individuals I report on in Clinton Cash, including mega Clinton Foundation donors Lucas Lundin, Frank Giustra, Frank Holmes, and Carlos Slim — individuals whose involvement with the Clintons I assumed he had invited me on his program to discuss.

Stephanopoulos did not disclose that he was a 2008 panelist at the CGI annual meeting which, once again, featured individuals I report on in the book, such as billionaire Clinton Foundation foreign donor Denis O’Brien.

ABC’s most visible news employee did not disclose that in 2009, he served as a panel moderator at CGI’s annual meeting, nor did he disclose that in 2010 and 2011, he was an official CGI member.

Stephanopoulos did not disclose that in 2013 and 2014, he and Chelsea Clinton served as CGI contest judges for awards, in part, underwritten by Laureate International Universities — a for-profit education company I report on in the book. Bill Clinton was on its payroll until his recent resignation.

Bill Maher gave the elusive Muppet elephant a pass on this failure to disclose . . . based on the argument that, hey, everyone knows he is in the tank for the Clintons anyway.

With friends like that . . .

  3. Like the Clintons he will just let it dribble out and deny piece by piece until he can finally, “But this is an old story…”

  4. This could go in either thread but it is worth remembering that virtually every news outlet has a mucky muck who has a husband/wife/sibling in a key position in the White House. They are much better at this than we are.
Again, see; things, nice, not ours for the use of.

  5. Stephanopolis is well known, by those who pay attention, to be a Clinton whore. The trouble is that most voters don’t pay attention or are indifferent once they have checked to see who has lady parts.

Yes, but when ABC hired the Clinton whore, ABC said he’d be working as an analyst like Bill Crystal. That he wouldn’t be reporting or interviewing guests.

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/flashback-1996-why-abc-shouldnt-hire-stephanopoulos/article/2564503

…The announcement created some confusion about Mr. Stephanopoulos’s role. A press release issued by ABC last Wednesday stated that he “will serve both as a political analyst and as a correspondent.” Vice President of News Joanna Bistany now says Mr. Stephanopoulos will be just an analyst; he will not report news or question guests on “This Week.” Ms. Bistany says his role will be similar to that of ABC contributor William Kristol, who was Dan Quayle’s chief of staff. “We want a mix of voices,” she says, adding that Mr. Stephanopoulos “won’t do anything that has any appearance of conflict.”..

That’s a real side splitter. More importantly not only would Stephanopoulus do anything no matter the actual confict of interest ABC would facilitate that because they’re just as in the tank for the Democratic party as their boy. As the article notes, by 1999 ABC had him covering campaigns. But 2002 he was hosting “This Week” and questioning guests. Now he’s as the chief anchor of ABC’s nightly news he’s the face of ABC news. Like, you know, ABC said he couldn’t do as it does more than just create the appearance of conflict. Clearly something that he, his old crime family, and his new crime family at ABC news don’t care at all about.

    As Instapundit says:

It’s like it was a scam all along.

Maybe NBC will give Chelsea Clinton her old “special correspondent” job back. So she can cover her mom’s campaign and maybe moderate a few GOP debates.
