  1. Hello.

  2. life is too short to watch anything with Obola in it…

  3. Then there’s this…

“My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I’m glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in
which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know… the remnants
of prior situations and mindsets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have
overlooked the bigger picture and we didn’t do that and I’m proud of that. Very proud. I would say that’s
    a major accomplishment.”

  4. Looks like he mistook the gentleman from Eire for Bibi Netanyahu.

  5. we only have 21 more months of this. Then it is H.C. for 8 more years.

  6. Has there EVER been A more self-absorbed man in the Oval Office? The worst president in my lifetime.

    Colonel Haiku (2601c0)

  7. Three great posts in less than 24 hrs. Impressive!
In hockey they’d call it a Hat Trick.
    Thank you Dana.

Ladies and gentlemen: here is a graduate of Wellesley College and Yale Law School.

  9. What an arrogant bastard we have in the White House. Can we survive another 21 months and will we have any friends left that are worth having?

    Rick (2b90a8)

  10. Could this just be another example of how artless and clumsy EarLeader is when he isn’t reading a teleprompter? His eyes are open, but you can almost see the gears grinding between the ears as he attempts to stay on topic.

  11. Did Pres’ent Obama just say that he welcomed “Tee-shirt ummm Enda Kenny” ??? Or was it “Tea-shack” ?

    Alastor (2e7f9f)

  12. Obama looks right at home. Ireland has been taken over by Muslims.

    mg (31009b)

  13. TFG prolly thinks “Imma teach you the same lesson the Queen taught me!” But without any sense of irony or self awareness. TFG is clueless as usual. What gets me is zero actually looks at the “offending” hand and does nothing unselfish to ease the awkwardness – he is happy to milk the moment for his own comfort. For some reason I am reminded of a sign I saw in a friends house:

“My duty as a host is to make you feel at home. Your duty as a guest is to remember you are not.”

    felipe (56556d)

  14. Sometimes I wonder if Obama hasn’t been doing the whole six plus years drugged up to his gills.

  15. Yeats? Talk about fundamental transformation.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
    The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
    Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned.
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity.

No wonder he is the favorite poet of the Punahou Putter.

  16. The handshake wasn’t about him so he never saw it.

    Kevin M (25bbee)

  17. “The worst president in my lifetime,” said Dick Cheney.

    slp (347e33)

  18. “Sen. Ted Cruz plans to announce Monday that he will run for president of the United States, accelerating his already rapid three-year rise from a tea party insurgent in Texas into a divisive political force in Washington.” – Houston Chronicle

One would NEVER read far-lefty Liz Warren described as a “divisive political force”. The media assault begins…

    Colonel Haiku (2601c0)

  19. Only complete self-absorption could render one so rude to a guest. Certainly, all of us have had moments of lapsed manners, however, this situation was one that clearly demanded awareness of of the very important guest. It was crucial that graciousness and generosity be paramount in that moment – as it is with all visiting heads of state. That the president was unable to meet such an expectation (an easy expectation at that), surely speaks volumes.

    Dana (86e864)

  20. Col.,

Media and Democrat assault on Cruz. All because global warming. Post up.

    Dana (86e864)

  21. To be fair to the disaster and flop in the White House, he is looking away and towards the media when the handshake is offered by the Irish prime minister. That being being said, I don’t know if I’m giving Obama more benefit of the doubt than he deserves, since he deserves very, very little.

BTW, I still recall the flubbed toast he gave to Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace a few years ago, and, sheesh, did he look like the biggest cretin on two feet. So bad, even I felt embarrassed for him.

The US will never live down and probably never truly recover from 8 years of “Goddamn America.”

    Mark (c160ec)

  22. On the C-Span video, it sounds like the Irish PM asks Obama to shake hands at the beginning. I assume Obama didn’t hear him and/or didn’t realize what was happening. Frankly, I think SPUR is right.

    DRJ (e80d46)

  23. SPQR, not SPUR. At least Autocorrect is trying to be Texan.

    DRJ (e80d46)

  24. DRJ (and SPQR),

I’m not inclined to let him off the hook in that way. I think he fully knows what he’s doing and why he’s doing it. It’s the essence of they petty, small man he is.

    Dana (86e864)

  25. Colonel Haiku (2601c0) — 3/22/2015 @ 11:03 am

According to Snopes, that’s probably a fictitious quote.

    Gerald A (6b504a)

  26. The petulant look that he often wears reminds me of a drunk being denied the key to the liquor cabinet.

    SPQR (4764ea)

  27. Oh, I don’t know, Gerald, it is Snopes, afterall. But then there’s this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMWZeLqwllY

    Colonel Haiku (2601c0)

  28. Nobody said anything or did “the cough” to let PotUS know something was up?
actually, i take that back. i forgot he deems himself the best at everything political.

    seeRpea (1925e7)

  29. are the leftists having Barak Fatigue?
    http://www.progressivestoday.com/seiu-state-president-slams-obama-we-dont-support-everyone-the-president-supports/
hmm, then again with all the money they spent on him, maybe it is ‘buyers regret’.

    seeRpea (1925e7)

  30. First Netanyahu won, then this flub with the Irish PM, and now Obama is dissed by Charlie Rangel. Not a great week.

    DRJ (e80d46)

  31. getting “dissed” by Charles Rangel is a plus.

    seeRpea (1925e7)

  32. Still, not a great week for Obama. I’m pretty sure he likes to be adored.

    DRJ (e80d46)

  33. At leas Obama didn’t massage the corner of his eye with his middle finger, a frequent gesture he’s used before and one he copied from his father.

    ropelight (82357a)

  34. It’s not the disrespect, it’s the fact that his head’s lodged so far up his own ass that he has no peripheral, or any other, vision.
