That’s what she gets for saying what Obama actually thinks.

  2. She’s just Barack “Islam has been woven into the fabric of our country since its founding” Obama with female plumbing and glasses.

What was he referring to anyway — the Barbary pirates?

    Patterico (9c670f)

  3. Who’s going to fact check him?

He could say “bananas are fish that have adapted to life on land” and the 47% will nod.

  4. “I’m totally bummed! Whatever…”

    – Marie Harf

  5. Marie Harf has many years of FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT. She’ll be ok.

    Gus (7cc192)

  6. She’s not being fired; she just doesn’t get a promotion, and it is hard to argue she deserves one. Psaki at least usually maintains her condescending superior image under fire, reflecting the narcissistic arrogance of both Obama and Kerry. Harf is regularly flustered.

Harf broke the First Rule of Obamic Spokespeople: Never defend, only attack.

You have to be completely shameless and able to lie with conviction to speak for this guy – for good reason. Harf still shows a little shame and confusion. Very good for playing the Naughty Librarian role, not so much in covering for a serial liar and incompetent.

    Estragon (ada867)

  7. Apparently, Harf began her career at the Directorate of Intelligence at the CIA as an analyst focusing on Middle Eastern leadership issues.

    That is hard to believe.

    ****************

She is a perfect example of the Peter Principle. She has risen in the bureaucracy to the level of her incompetence.

  8. Because she doesn’t have enough gravitas to convincingly work the drive thu window at Clown Burger.

    Amirite?

  10. oh, she was the woman who called Bill O’Reily a low class, dumb , sexist.
ya know, she really isn’t fit for the job she has now. she already has hit her Peter Principle high.

  11. That is a shame. I thought she was really starting to have an effect on international discourse and then *bam* the old glass ceiling tales another victim.
Something tells me that Mitt Romneys binders full of women job candidates didn’t contain much mention of Ms. Harf

    steveg (794291)

  12. But right now there are plenty of binders out and about positioning Ms Harf as soon to be spokesperson for the Kyrgyz Livestock and Pasture Research Institute Attache to the US Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan.
She could give some totally awesome Q and A sessions on Yak milk exports and why they are so important in keeping the Uzbek minority youths from becoming ISIS mercenaries

    steveg (794291)

  13. I wonder if she can spell

Considering the quality and accuracy of the CIA’s assessments, I find it very easy to believe!

  19. Keith Laumer wrote a hilarious series of short stories satirizing bureaucrat diplomats, starring Jaime Retief, and set in the far-flung future. Here’s a bunch free online. For some reason, they put the last one first and it’s kind of off-putting. Start with Part II, each story is individually linked. http://www.baenebooks.com/10.1125/Baen/0671318578/0671318578_toc.htm

Trust me — “hilarious” and “satirizing” are understatements.

‘Spose Barry could use an implemented Polish/Czech ABM treaty about now? Even setting aside the negative of its being a boon to global stability and passed on to less crafty hands?

  21. the Directorate of Intelligence at the CIA as an analyst focusing on Middle Eastern leadership issues.

I wonder if she had anything to do with that 2007 NIE that said Iran had given up on the Bomb ? Perfect qualification for Obama.

  22. baby girl will land on her feet will land on her feet i think

she could easily leave state and be social media director for any number of breakfast cereal brands

    and there’s always real estate

    happyfeet (a037ad)

  23. or she could do a cable access show called Storytime with Marie Harf where she reads children’s stories about a plucky little girl named Dawali Sanchez who travels the globe single-handedly foiling the diabolical plots of Evil Christian Terrorists

    happyfeet (a037ad)

  24. Bringing back Stef Cutt would restore the appropriate amount of dishonesty, bluster, arrogance and dissembling that we are accustomed to seeing from spokeweasels from this administration.

  26. It’s actually hard to believe that Heifer Harf, Rush Chairman of her college sorority Alfa Falfa Moo every had anything to do with any “intelligence” department.

    Skeptical Voter (12e67d)

  27. nk #19 – the Retief stories are excellent … as far as I know, the Obama Administration doesn’t *actually* admit to using Groaci protocols and policies currently as their official training materials … nor, again as far as I know, is there any as-yet-provable truth to the rumour that Pres’ent Obama, rather than being Keynesian, is actually an adopted plastic-surgery-modified Groaci mole …

He could say “bananas are fish that have adapted to life on land” and the 47% will nod.

I don’t think you could get more than 25% of the public to agree with that, even in a push poll.

    Sammy Finkelman (d22d64)

  29. 27. I said that Obama thinks he wants to be Salvor Hardin, of Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series and if were to use more than the most limited degree of violence, he’d be incompetent.

  30. if they’re good enough to fight and die for our country then a tranny is good enough to be the next State Department “spox”

    you know I’m right

we don’t need another cis-gendered lil bubblehead like harf to speak for failmerica

    i nominate Brucella Kardashian

let the next chapter of her life be the next chapter of failmerica’s life

    Do the right thing.

    happyfeet (831175)

  31. No, he didn’t actually go and change his name to Brucella? Say it isn’t so. Because brucella is a weird disease you get from Mexican cheese.

    nk (dbc370)

  32. hater

    happyfeet (831175)

  33. So is Brucella the only woman to ever win the decathlon, or the only man to ever win the heptathlon?

    I blame society.

  34. It’s the first exotic disease to be treated by my daughter’s mother as an intern.

    nk (dbc370)

  35. Stay away from authentic Mexican cheeses. Buy the Wisconsin ones.

    nk (dbc370)

  36. The CDC says Brucella is highly weaponizable, due to it’s persistence in the mononuclear phagocyte system.

You doctors are a foul mouthed bunch.

    papertiger (c2d6da)

  37. Sounds unnecessarily judgemental. What do the CDC care if Bruce Jenner wears a dress?

What’s worse than being lampooned by Jon Stewart?
Being lampooned by Russian TV, that’s what.
So much for the President restoring our respectability around the world.

  39. Who say no freedom of speech in Russia just like America? In America, people free to criticize American government. In Russia, people also free to criticize American government.

The good thing about that is, being a woman, Bruce can look forward to a lighter sentence.
    He/she was thinking ahead.

    papertiger (c2d6da)

  44. Probably sexist of me to ask.

    Sexist!

    papertiger (c2d6da)

  45. Hmmm, papertiger, I never bothered to watch any youtube clip, as I thought it would be in Russian anyway.

It would be interesting to know what was there and what happened to it. What is worse, the FCC officially controlling the net and we all know it, or the myriad ways youtube and google and the like censor it already by their own private viewpoint

I saw some blurb on Mozilla earlier about how they are fighting for the people who helped develop the internet…I guess ousting their own doesn’t count.

    MD in Philly (f9371b)

  46. I think it would be YouTube hardest hit by an FCC censor. For the viewing public it would just be one more layer on top of the layers upon layers of “fact checkers” deciding what truths they would like us to see.

Interesting that right now, when you run into the YouTube and Hulu infringement blockers imposing a ban on something or other, most times you can find the video you wanted by going through a Russian server.

The Russians don’t feel as strongly censorus about American content as Hollywood’s paid for politicians and agencies.

Perhaps the FCC move is intended to close the Russian hole.
