The L.A. Times has a new hot property: Phil Mickelson’s house in Rancho Santa Fe. Looks pretty sweet — and look at the amenities!

  3. I see 3 holes. It is the little round things.

Oh wait – there’s four holes. I noticed it when the picture was enlarged/

I guess the L.A. Times reporter missed it.

    This happens.

People aren’t so good at this.

  5. Two of those holes are for the volleyball poles. The other golf hole is off screen.

  6. There are four lights.

    It’s an Orwelling thing.

  7. I received an email this weekend saying that because of an upgrade some would have trouble with their email. The writer finished it off with:

If you have trouble with your email, please send me an email.

  8. y’all miss the big question though: does this mean he’s moving out of #Failifornia after all, to avoid the taxes?

    HAHAHAHAHAHA if he does.

  10. Three plus a really deep, really symmetrical, oddly colored divit?

Meh. Golf’s a ruin of a perfectly good walk.

  11. Sometimes there are all of them at once.

  12. The photos at the link show the house is empty so I guess the Micklesons have already moved. Did they move to another California home or leave California?

  13. I’m going to bet there are even more holes than pictured … right under the feet of the photographer …

  14. Sammy, I could see four holes on a 4.3 inch phone …. without clicking on the image.

  15. Forbes says the Mickelsons haven’t lived there for years. They live nearby. I guess the old putting green didn’t have enough holes.

  16. He had 9,500 square feet and they moved to some place larger? They moved before they sold the house and they’ve been carrying two houses in the same neighborhood for six years? The man is either stupefyingly wealthy or stupefyingly profligate. (I’d never heard of him until he started hawking arthritis medications).

  17. Reporters in SoCal are almost terminally stupid.

I had to correct one in the Orange County Register that the object held aloft in the published photo was not a Ship’s Bell, but the annunciator from the Ship’s Bridge.

    What a bunch of Maroons!

  19. He’s got all that greenery in a town where the mean rainfall is 10.6 in. per annum (of which 95% falls from October through April).
