A reporter just asked @marieharf why the State Department is not starting an Ice Bucket Challenge for Ebola

Given the propensity of Harf and Psaki to engage in #hashtag diplomacy, sadly, in this context, the question isn’t ridiculous.

This reporter should get an award for this.

  1. It is not clear if the reporter was joking or serious, but at any rate, demonstrates the silliness of a vapid Spokesliar like Harf.

don’t know about that, but she definitely comes to w*rk on the short bus…

  8. Her work as model UN delegate and Gamma Phi rush chair at Oberlin was exactly the kind real-world experience Barry thinks is relevant to the job, red.

That, and not knowing anything about Ebola so you can say whatever you’re told such as how a travel ban would only make things worse.

  10. I could put this on several current comment threads.

Regardless, the problem isn’t who says things or who is this czar or the next. The problem is not lying.

The problem is that government is so big and so politicized that no one can do anything to solve any issue. Everyone on the left is certain that their thinking is the only answer. Thinking has become a pediment rather than a solution.

Not necessarily, or not if he asked that question in a fully serious and totally sincere way. Or if he’s the type (who’s common throughout the media) who buys into the idea that good intentions are all that counts, and even if the ideas and results behind those intentions are foolish or a flop, a warm, caring heart is all that matters.

  13. I’d prefer a mud-wrestling match between Marie and Jan. Or do you think Jello-wrestling? Wet t-shirt contest?

  14. How about seeing if Marie and Jan can read “See Spot Run” without moving their lips? These two bimbos are an insult to the American public–but are perfectly emblematic of Team Obozo.

  15. Nothing convinces me more that Hillary is a lesbian than the girl toys she staffed the State Department with. I just can’t see them being hired for any other reason. And we also have the one, higher up, who gave the Crimea to Putin. That one removes all doubt.

  16. #10, Age80: Thinking or hallucinating? Thinking or dreaming? I know my dogs dream, their tails wag and their paws paddle in happy delight as they sleep on the carpet. But I don’t think that qualifies as thinking, particularly the sort of “thinking” that is required to get us out of this mess. I don’t have any experience with hallucinating, dogs or personally, but our political class is less fastidious about their intake of all sorts of substances than the rest of us. So hallucinating might be a bit more accurate. In any event, they are so self-focused that they can’t distinquish their hopes from reality. They behave as though everything of any importance that happens to them occurs mainly in their mind, and so they will say and believe almost anything as long as it provides them solace. The attempt to modify reality with hashtags is emblematic.

True. If they weren’t an insult to the American public, President Mean Girl wouldn’t have them around.

“Insulting the American public” is Susan Rice’s job description. Now the latest example is Ebola Czar Ron Klein.

    The list is long.
