Change Of Pace

It just seemed like a good time to lighten the mood a little …

Apparently, Obama did not get sufficiently embarrassed last time he tried to throw a baseball. Obama was even worse this time. And the quote about how he didn’t want to interrupt the game, we will just stage a quick photo op was spectacular.

Cyclists celebrates victory a lap too early, falls to 56th, and becomes punch line of jokes in every group ride.

I don’t care for Bill Simmons much, but this is an outstanding article on the tenor of the Pacers vs Heat series. I have been at the last 4 games in Indy, and the tension between the teams is off the charts. Game 1 was Kaitlin’s first NBA playoff game.

This is a pic from her iPad.

  2. I saw a guy with only one leg, the other missing from the hip joint, riding a regular 26-inch racer type bike yesterday. No training wheels or anything like that; not even a special seat. In traffic (westbound on Addison Street for Cubs fans). Made me feel like a pantywaist, that no Hollywood Rambo-type or professional sports player ever did. He was young, too; maybe 25 or so.

Sounds like an interesting article. Got a link?

  5. Anon – fixed. Thanks.

  6. Scippio – that is now 3 different IP’s and 2 different names in the last week. Choose 1. The rules are quite clear. Calling Elissa a tranny under your prior name, KH, was really poor form.

  7. nk – it is always humbling to see someone overcoming challenges that many of us could not even begin to imagine.
