Teh One “Misspoke” – Updated. Intentional Lie

The NYT is way beyond parody. Teh One repeated his “let me be clear, if you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period” promised over and over and over and over and over. The smartest President EVAH simply made a mistake. They say this in the face of the evidence that it was a political calculation and they knew this would happen.

Congressional Republicans have stoked consumer fears and confusion with charges that the health care reform law is causing insurers to cancel existing policies and will force many people to pay substantially higher premiums next year for coverage they don’t want. That, they say, violates President Obama’s pledge that if you like the insurance you have, you can keep it.

Mr. Obama clearly misspoke when he said that.

They think you are dumb. But they don’t stop there. They run with the false notion that your policy wasn’t good enough, was substandard, and wasn’t something you really want, and that you will get better coverage now. Paying for things you don’t want. Or don’t need. Or could never need. They push the false nation that this is limited to a tiny subset of the overall population, ignoring that the exact same thing will happen next year with the employer mandate, which is why it was unilaterally delayed.

It is disgustingly dishonest, par for the course for thee NYT Editorial Board.

Update – they knowingly lied. Intentionally lied.
