Rush Limbaugh Interviews James O’Keefe

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 11:30 am

This is a great interview of James O’Keefe by Rush Limbaugh, coming to us via Twitchy:

O’Keefe sent me an advance copy of his book Breakthrough, which you can purchase here. Yours truly gets a mention for some of the exclusive journalism I did on O’Keefe. I’m still making my way through it, but so far it is very enjoyable.

P.S. The stalkers are still after O’Keefe — the same people who tried to hurt me and my family (and miserably failed). We’re still here, while the cockroaches hide in the shadows. As long as the light keeps shining, they will remain in that crack between the refrigerator and the cabinets, only to be ground underfoot if they dare to emerge. So keep the light shining. Watch the video and read the book. Keep the cockroaches hiding.

  2. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him. -Johnathan Swift

O’Keefe is a genius of guerrilla video PsyOps

  3. feets,
I must say that I am enjoying your comments less and less. The humor is increasingly eclipsed by the disdain you project for some of us and our views. You probably don’t care, but if you do a little teensy weensy (those are official spellchecker-approved spellings) bit, I thought I’d let you know.

Of course the stalkers are after O’Keefe. His claim, which seems to be supported by what I see, is that he simply likes to reveal what people are doing when they think no one is looking, not on their own time, but when they are supposedly functioning in the public interest.
As long as there are folks who do things they wish to keep hidden, they will be snapping their teeth to bring him down.

If Obama really wanted the most transparent administration ever, he would appoint O’Keefe as the official Chief IG.

  4. Happyfeet, Limbaugh is a funny and entertaining guy to listen to, and his help in promoting O’Keefe is valuable and good. Sometimes it seems like you set out to be ugly, pal.

O’Keefe is the man, in my opinion. I didn’t appreciate how brave that guy was at first, but he’s a true patriot. The Richard Head aspects of his reporting have been hilarious, but also alarming as an example of democrats grabbing the levers of power the people trusted them with and then trying to facilitate harassment (such as with the emails stolen from O’Keefe).

Eventually this country will turn around in opinion about these corrupt political parties, and those who stood up first, such as Breitbart and O’Keefe, and possibly out host at this blog as well, will be admired for their contributions to journalism. Or they won’t be… it doesn’t matter to me.

  6. What is this, bash mr. feets day?

    Uncool.

    And largely unwarranted.

    Icy (48d2a0)

  7. thank you Mr. Icy

I am in a dark place today I really am but I don’t think I’ve wandered off the path of acceptable commentary into the forbidding jungles of egregiousness

    happyfeet (8ce051)

  8. I thought I was giving a very civil observation to someone who likes to bash us lifeydoodles with fetus fetishes as if we are the problem with society, not those who shout “Hail Satan”.

But I do take no delight in your being in a dark place today, dark places are no fun, though they are tolerable if they emerge into a light place.

  9. I take no joy in these considered and measured rebukes i address on the odd occasion to the lifeydoodle community Mr. Dr.

    no joy at all

Considering the other authors in the ranking its quite an achievement already

  11. Rebukes are not welcome when the rebuker is unwilling to understand, let alone acknowledge, the rebukee’s point of view.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  12. But I’m happy to hear you’ve been limiting yourself to considered and measured rebukes, happyfeet. I’d hate to see what an ill-considered and unmeasured rebuke would sound like.

  14. Mr. Feets – Turn on a light, light a candle or find flashlight. I find following that advice most helpful when I am in a dark place.

    Ima giver.

  15. Well, folks – believe it or not – This is the first time I have ever tuned in (yes, I have been exposed to him in the background, in my everyday life) to see or hear Rush L. speak. It certainly is not at all what I had been told it would be like from all the descriptions of him by people who identify themselves as Democrat, or Republican.

Maybe it is the company I keep in my off-line life, but I have not felt a desire nor have I been advised to tune in (or out) before now. “Trust content from Patterico” it has been said. Well, I do – after reading this blog for the last few years I think he has earned my trust.

I found the interview to be forthright and without the splash of “condemnation” (that I find so off-putting) that is found in too many “interviews”. That’s my two cents.

    felipe (6100bc)

  16. Ah, felipe
so you have actually heard the Majarushie for yourself instead of just hearing comments about him…

he is certainly an imperfect man and I believe would readily be among the first to say so
but he does point out how often people remember the first time they heard him for themselves

    the first time I ever actually listened to his show happened to be when he was playing an extended clip of David Kay of the Iraq Survey group (not an extended clip of John Kay of Steppenwolf) discussing findings with Sen. Kennedy;
in the MSM all that I ever heard was a blurb saying they did not find the quantities of WMD that they expected
in the extended clip that I heard Rush play, I heard Kay go on to say that actually it appeared that Saddam was even more of a problem than they thought because of things he had that they did not know about, including long range missile components
ever since then his is a place I go to “hear the news you won’t hear elsewhere”, not so much his commentary, but his primary fact reporting that one doesn’t otherwise hear

  17. before the intertubes shone light in the dark corner, Rush was a valuable counter,

    narciso (3fec35)

  18. Y’know? I think it is interesting that my comment focused on Rush rather than O’Keefe who I admire for his industry and perserverance. I liked how O’Keefe said that “this is just the beginning” in regards to his efforts. This is graceful resoluteness after his unjust (IMO) treatment. During his explanation of his funding, I noticed that we were not directed to his website to donate funds. Rather, he just acknowledged the method of funds inflow. A very soft-sell.

    felipe (6100bc)

  19. Mr. Okeefe and his band of guerrillas give me hope.

    mg (31009b)

  20. Rush is like Howard Stern of whom it was often said, those who like him listen for 20 minutes; those who don’t listen for 40!

    Gazzer (778001)

  21. MD, “primary fact” reporting is what I miss most in the news, and is the most important reason I stopped consuming news from newspapers, radio, and television ever sine they started commenting on the news rather than reporting it. “Low information voters” – I’m not at all sure it means what they say it means.

  26. Had to buy the book (Kindle edition)while listening to this. O’Keefe is a real hero. Rare to have such results as he has.

    Jim L. (f7f117)

  27. James O’Keefe would have been better served to continue his work without Rush’s “help”. Mr. Limbaugh’s credibility does not reach beyond those who were already in the GOP’s pocket.

  30. 28-Whether I do or not is immaterial. What I do know is that Jabba the Rush is a lying piece of trash who has recently grossly overestimated his power over his advertisers, listeners, and employers.

    Ian G. (b2d693)

  31. Whether I do or not is immaterial.

I know you’re just a nutjob who hates those who disagree with you to the point where you can’t see straight, but you did say it would serve O’Keefe’s interest do do what you want him to do, and now you say whether it helps him is ‘immaterial’, which is poor usage, but obviously also untrue.

O’Keefe is a great journalist whose exposes have helped fight the election fraud of Acorn, among other frauds (several related to election intregrity). You hate that because you are a democrat, and democrats benefit from election fraud. You know it; I know it.

    O’Keefe ain’t going away.

  36. i know that feets seems to think that real actual freedom what makes folks really free instead of under the thumb of piggy piggy government busybody whores needs to be made more marketable to the fabulous beautiful people he hangs with but he doesn’t seem to realize just how steep that hill is

most of the peeps have been trained since forever that “free” always means “you don’t have to pay for it up front” and have had that pounded into their heads so hard they never stop to think “hey this healthcare stuff doesn’t just pop out of the ground and people have to go to school like forever just to be able to do it and need to be paid so they can eat too”

that’s not something a cutesy marketing slogan can fix i don’t think

and they’ve also been told that anyone who doesn’t just nod and say “free healthcare woohoo” is a hatey hater who hates puppies and kittens and pie and cake for just as long

at this point the only hope of making them at least stop cheering for a piggy piggy whore government that pisses all of the money that ever existed in the history of time into a black hole is to shame them about how they don’t even think about that part of it and how it leaves nothing for the future and also how when the piggy piggy whore government is doing all the paying then the piggy piggy whore government gets to tell you what’s worth paying for

too bad they’ve also been trained since forever to not have any shame which the murderdoodles have spent this past week demonstrating

it is a quandary and thinking about it a lot will put you in a very dark place indeed

    i reckon

  38. What I do know is that Jabba the Rush is a lying piece of trash

It’s always amusing when liberals start flinging around “lies” and “liars,” since their pantheon of modern-day icons includes Bill and Hillary Clinton, the guy now in the White House, deceased characters like Ted Kennedy, and all the mendacious figureheads in places like Hollywood or Detroit, Michigan.

    Mark (ec2c05)

  39. Hmmmm, trying to remember who it is that has been caught lying to Congress lately … Rush or Democrats? Pretty sure it ain’t Rush.

    SPQR (768505)

they don’t have to be cutesy we can do trenchant
