Incredible: IRS Leaked Files on Conservative Groups to Liberal Media Outlet
Every time I read about this scandal there is a new “what on God’s green Earth?!” moment, and today does not disappoint. The IRS leaked confidential files on conservative organizations to a liberal news outlet, ProPublica:
In response to a request for the applications for 67 different nonprofits last November, the Cincinnati office of the IRS sent ProPublica applications or documentation for 31 groups. Nine of those applications had not yet been approved-meaning they were not supposed to be made public. (We made six of those public, after redacting their financial information, deeming that they were newsworthy.
Also, the current IRS commissioner knew as of at least May 2012 that the IRS had targeted conservative groups.
But Obama just now found out about it by reading the news, just like you and me!
Yuh-huh.
Heads should ROLL over this.
ProPublica is one of those Soros-funded fascist front groups like NPR
happyfeet (c60db2) — 5/13/2013 @ 6:00 pmAnd the IRS commissioner repeatedly responded to Congressional inquiries about complaints from conservative groups that they were being targeted, as late as September 2012, that they were not in fact being targeted. So not only was he was aware in May that this targeting was going on during the 2012 run-up to the election, he lied to Congress about it to keep it from becoming an issue during the campaign.
Anybody seeing a pattern of conduct here?
Steve57 (9b1cdb) — 5/13/2013 @ 6:06 pmDid anybody listen to Mark Levin today? I caught a few minutes and the guy was on fire, ripping the Preezy a few extra outlets for his alimentary system for talking about what the IRS was doing as if he’s not even involved.
Steve57 (9b1cdb) — 5/13/2013 @ 6:09 pmLevin’s Landmark Legal Foundation, was at the forefront of pushing this issue, i

But they won’t. Unless you mean the night shift janitor at the IRS office in Cincinnati.
glenn (647d76) — 5/13/2013 @ 6:30 pmNo heads will be affected. These are Democrats !
Mike K (87eb3a) — 5/13/2013 @ 6:32 pmYou know how when Jay Carney comes out and says the protests in Cairo and the attack in Benghazi were entirely due to a YouTube video, and nothing at all to do with the administration or its policies we all immediately know they had nothing at all to do with a YouTube video and everything to do with the administration and its policies?
If they declare the underwear bomber or the Tsarnaevs to be “lone wolves” then you immediately know they weren’t acting alone?
Well, the administration’s attempt to blame this on “low level employees” in the Cincinnati office is working out according to the formula:

Steve57 (9b1cdb) — 5/13/2013 @ 6:37 pmAnd the latest is that DC officials of the IRS participated too, so it’s just the beginning.
How long can Barry pull off this “I had no idea!” defense, to all his scandals?
Patricia (be0117) — 5/13/2013 @ 6:52 pmPatricia and Steve57,
I just saw that. I thought it was worth a separate post.
Patterico (9c670f) — 5/13/2013 @ 6:52 pmmaybe food stamp just wants to destroy all trust in every single institution of government and the IRS was just next on his list
he’s pretty much raped the integrity of the hooker-loving secret service
the “department of justice”
the cia
general motors
the uber-fascist epa
the pervert Roberts court
the department of the treasury
the office of the secretary of state
the department of energy

happyfeet (c60db2) — 5/13/2013 @ 6:56 pmmister feet, don’t you think the IRS is the most sacred bureaucracy to left wingers on account of it is the collection agency for big government ?
i bet at sarah lawrence college, and at oberlein, and berkeley, and university of new mexico, the cool granola college kids have posters of IRS agents adorning their dorm walls.

Elephant Stone (a59d01) — 5/13/2013 @ 7:00 pmIf Nixon had fired some people early on, rather than after it did no good, he’d have survived. BUt he was too smart for that.
Kevin M (bf8ad7) — 5/13/2013 @ 7:27 pmdiscrediting the IRS doesn’t embitter and demoralize the fascist voters cause of they’re easily manipulated by manufactured personality cults
but real Americans will sooner or later understand that the rot is overpowering and fatal and there’s not a damn thing to be done for it
when the fascist little Holder whore fails to do a goddamn thing about the rogue IRS it tells people loudly and clearly we are not a nation of laws
and that my friend is a big Win for Team Fascism
happyfeet (c60db2) — 5/13/2013 @ 7:29 pmProPublica, a self-proclaimed investigative service protecting American citizens, somehow never found it newsworthy to report that the IRS had provided it with confidential files last November.
What’s that? Oh, only confidential files of conservative organizations? Well then, never mind.

The only way that would happen is if they encountered one of The Immortals in a dark alley one night (not that I’m calling for vigilante justice – yet!).
