Alleged Sender of Ricin-Laced Letters: Thumbs Up for Democrats!

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 10:29 pm

I do not publish this photo to argue that Democrats are bad because the alleged sender of letters laced with ricin gave a “thumbs up” to Democrats.

I publish this photo because tomorrow, some people will argue that Republicans are bad because (they will claim) the alleged sender of letters laced with ricin is a Republican.

When they say that, you will know they are lying, because you will have seen this:

Background at the Blaze. I have, admittedly, not independently verified that this is the guy who was arrested — but the information at the Blaze looks compelling to me.

Damn Republicans, always sending poison in the mail and taking pictures of themselves giving Democrats the thumbs up. They’re crafty bastards, aren’t they?

  1. This is, again, purely a defensive post. This is not a claim that Democrats like to send poison through the mail.

It will be portrayed as such, however.

Just as surely as the above man will be portrayed as a Republican racist.

  2. The MFM will simply not cover this going forward.

  4. Christians and Democrats.

Both of them some of the most wrong headed people in this country.

    Why does this matter? (31b838)

  5. The photo is a lie anyway: you cannot be both a Christian and a Democrat. If someone who says that he supports abortion tells you that he is a Christian, he is lying to you.

How nice. And yet it happens. So much so that Sunday voting by church groups is a concern in some areas.

  7. Dave is doing his passive-aggressive you are racists schtick. It used to be you knew when a leftist was losing an argument, but now the trollish stalkery ones just lead with it.

  8. You have to admit, this Curtis character is all stocked up on crazy, maybe he’s auditioning for MSNBC’s afternoon slot.

  9. Gee dave, I googled “Sunday voting by church groups is a concern”, and basically came up with your assertion here at Patterico—and that’s it! Who exactly is concerned? Please educate me on this CONCERN, as I hadn’t really heard about it until I read your comment.

  10. you cannot be both a Christian and a Democrat.

Quite seriously, it’s interesting how the left — or influences of modern-day liberalism — has corrupted not just secular organizations like, naturally, colleges or the media, or is trying to get its tentacles into the Boy Scouts of America, but has dumbed down branches of Christianity.

BTW, it’s quite surprising and unexpected that the photo of 2 leading suspects in the bombing in Boston look like they share the background of, well, uh, Nidal Hasan. We may be facing another case of “workplace violence.” Speaking of which, I forgot to add that even the US military has been corrupted by trendy-hip liberalism.

They’ll just go to the backup meme: Not his fault. Republicans drove him to do it.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. A libtard Christian who males EASTER RICIN cards to his favorite politicians!!!

  15. but has dumbed down branches of Christianity?

How can you dumb down someone who really believes in magic, faeries and the great invisible sky wizard? Dumbing down the religious is kinda oxymoronic.

As they’re doing in the Gosnell Philly infanticide case.

They’re trying to say Gosnell is the product of the pro-life movement not funding abortions.

  18. Thank you for your bigotry, “Realist”

Get a guy like Richard Dawkins to lead it.

Here I was making a point about churches that vote democratic. And you ended up feeling like the victim. New song: Accidental anti-racist.

    dave (aee97b)

  21. Church groups may vote Democratic. But not Christians. There’s a difference between warming a pew and showing up for the bingo games and being a Christian.

The “Thou shalt not covet they neighbor’s goods” commandment is an absolute bar to being a Christian and a Democrat.

    Not like there aren’t others.

    Steve57 (b238b6)

  22. Whatever, “dave”. It is not like we have not seen this passive aggressive RACIST douchebaggery from you many times before.

So what religion are those folks?

  26. New developments in the ricin case against Curtis. He may have been framed.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  27. The ricin suspect has been released. Apparently his family’s claim that he was framed have some merit.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  28. From the link, FBI agent Grant testified at Curtis’ detention hearing how the FBI focused on him:

Grant testified Friday that authorities tried to track down the sender of the letters by using a list of Wicker’s constituents with the initials KC, the same initials in the letters. Grant said the list was whittled from thousands to about 100 when investigators isolated the ones who lived in an area that would have a Memphis, Tenn., postmark, which includes many places in north Mississippi. He said Wicker’s staff recognized Curtis as someone who had written the senator before.

All the envelopes and stamps were self-adhesive, Grant said Monday, meaning they won’t yield DNA evidence. He said thus far the envelopes and letters haven’t yielded any fingerprints.

They also confirmed that no ricin-related or other evidence was found among Curtis’ possessions.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  29. Not a good week for the FBI.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  30. Speaking of ricin-related stories, Harry Reid has one. Plus, apparently navy and air force bases are all the same to him.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  31. Sorry. Here’s the link.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  32. Charges dropped due to lack of evidence.

    New suspect:
    A child-molesting Republican.
