  1. What Hope and Change really means.

  2. Using what passes for their brains, our friends on the left will tell us that, thanks to President Obama’s wonderful and enlightened policies, unemployment dropped a tenth, to 7.6%.

Somehow, the fact that only 88,000 new jobs were created, a smaller number than population growth, and the total workforce declined by nearly half a million, 496,000, will be ignored, because the big number is down to 7.6%! That’s what Obamabot brains do!

  3. Besides, it’s all George Bush’s fault anyway.

  4. A Democrat is not a naïf
Because he knows he is safe
    No zombies for him
I’ll go out on a limb
Say no taxes will he have to pafe!

  5. Indeed, since Obama supporters haven’t noticed that the employment picture continues to suck. Lowest labor force participation rate in more than thirty years.

  6. The Democrats all have a heart,
And they think that they are so smart,
    But if brains were methane
    They’d be in no pain
‘Cause their brains wouldn’t be worth a fart.

  7. ==our friends on the left will tell us==

And like clockwork, AP morning headline specifically targeted to stupid, non-inquisitive and hurried internet readers:

U.S. economy adds 88,000 jobs, unemployment rate drops to 7.6 percent.

  8. There once was a prez named Obama
    His rule all incompetent drama
    Surrounded by douchebags
Bull dykes and limp wrist fags
No surprise he was raised by Commie mama

  9. You’ve got it completely backwards. The guy in the T-shirt is looking for zombie voters, and they’re not hard to find.

  10. “Obama supporters haven’t noticed that the employment picture continues to suck” They’ve noticed, but they say it’s still Bush’s and the Republican’s fault. I am completely serious. The Obama voters I know all say that.

    gp (5a38d9)

  11. I agree with Amphipolis. I thought supporting Obama already put you in the braindead zombie camp.

Don’t you understand? If something good happens, President Obama and his wise policies are responsible for it; if something bad happens, it’s leftover Bush.

  17. It’s not that the Democrats don’t want to work; it’s just that they’re saving themselves for all of those green jobs Obama promised.

  18. I know this isn’t an open thread, but please allow me to hijack this for a moment. Our First Lady apparently had an interesting slip of the tongue on a radio interview in which she referred to herself as “a busy, single mother.” She apparently caught her mistake then added:

Or, I shouldn’t say single — as a busy mother, sometimes you know when you’ve got the husband who’s president, it can feel a little single. But he’s there.

Can we all please step back a moment from our selfish and self-centered lives and ruminate on how difficult it must be to raise children when your husband is President of the United States? I mean it has to be tough, what with coordinating the maids, butlers, chefs, gardners, chauffers, personal secretaries, security detail, gofers, press agents, and other underlings that one gets by virture of living in the White House. And it sucks that the girls can’t spend more time with daddy because he is off on a golf vacation in Florida or they are kicking it as a ski resort in Sun Valley. Next time you are stuck in traffic trying to get the kids delivered from afternoon swim practice to their evening church group meeting and wondering if you might have time to swing through the Taco Bell drive-through to get them something to eat and realizing that you are supposed to pick your spouse up at the airport when she returns from her week-long business trip at 11:00 pm, just remember that Michelle Obama is struggling even more than you are.

  23. I am reading The Closing of the American Mind by Bloom.

Sadly, he appears to be correct about the Great Closing, or the Great Emptiness, of the Obamanians.

    Patricia (be0117)

  24. In my view the “closing” involves the party which has refused to govern for over four years now.

I am talking about the same party which is opposing background checks for gun purchase transaction, when about 90% of the population want just that.

    Perry (304b25)

I now also know where to go for panty liners.

    My Sharia Moor (7ede7d)

  26. Perry, refused to govern? Oh, that would be the Democrats that failed to pass a budget – the most fundamental part of governing, you troll.

Remember how hard she said it was to keep fresh fruits and veggies in the house?

    Perry is a clown.

    JD (fe3864)

  28. JD, the last time I was stuck in traffic, it was because Obama was being trucked around in a 40 car convoy through my town on his way to lie some more about guns to advance his agenda.

    SPQR (768505)

  29. JD, isn’t it interesting that Michelle makes a slip-of-the-tongue saying she’s a “Single Mom” (Freud, call your office), while at the same time her erstwhile hubby is making eyes at CA’s AG.
Is there something not going on in the White House?

    askeptic (b8ab92)

  30. While more work remains to be done ….

SPQR, is that where he said Sandy Hook was done by a fully automatic weapon of war?

  31. Brains?

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/gingrich-praises-rival-obama-brain-plan-article-1.1306005

Obama already mentioned this brain research in I think the state of the Union message (which probably got his support because it amounts to spending a lot of money and somebody wanted to be in charge of it and concocted arguments Obama is a sucker or worse for things like that – anything being lobbied that is made to sound reasonable. It probably could be done much more efficiently than whatever is being proposed.)

The first big person to tout this was Newt Gingrich.

    Sammy Finkelman (d22d64)

  32. JD, yep. Brazen lie.

    SPQR (768505)

  33. Apparently “refused to govern” in Perry’s world means “refused to expand government and raise taxes.” It’s cute how leftists have developed their own version of the language.

    JVW (4826a9)

  34. Exactly, JVW, the GOP House does its job. The Democrat Senate does not, and Perry lies about both.

    SPQR (768505)

  35. “I am talking about the same party which is opposing background checks for gun purchase transaction, when about 90% of the population want just that.”

Perry – That’s lame even for you. Try reading a little deeper to understand what the opposition is actually about.

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  36. Michelle says she’s a single mom? Maybe heretofore everybody’s been focusing on the wrong Obama document. Let’s see the marriage license!!!!

    elissa (3e20bd)

  37. Perry is so dumb he doesn’t know we already have a national instant check system. He also falls for every rigged poll that gets thrown over the fence.

  38. The things that Periwinkle doesn’t know are legion.

    askeptic (b8ab92)

  39. Obama’s Operation Fast & Furious fiasco – the ATF’s attempt to rig statistics for a gun control push – resulted in more dead Mexican citizens plus at least two American citizens than Lanza killed at Newtown and Holmes killed at the Aurora Theater.

But Obama and Holder are still in office. To the disgust of any rational person.

    SPQR (768505)

  40. Political cartoons that aren’t done by a liberal, or that don’t convey a left-leaning slant, are always refreshing, including the “Brains!” one. One of the few — few — good things about the LA Times a few years ago was when they had right-leaning Michael Ramirez as their in-house op-ed cartoonist. Now they have just some typical liberal cornball hack.

They’ve noticed, but they say it’s still Bush’s and the Republican’s fault. I am completely serious. The Obama voters I know all say that.

Various opinion polls indicate that a large percentage of Americans in general express that dumb sentiment. So George W Bush is to this generation what Herbert Hoover was to the 1930s. But the Republican president of the 1930s truly deserved some blame since his policymaking was nonsensically leftwing, meaning it was devoid of common sense—eg, Hoover scared the investor class by raising incomes taxes up to the 70-percentile range.

There are a lot of fools out there, not just throughout America but throughout the human race overall. In general, they all lean left, they all fall for the idea that liberal biases imbue one (including a politician) with beautiful qualities, so a liberal leader should get a lot of benefit of the doubt (eg, Roosevelt in the 1930s, Obama in the 2000s). That portion of the electorate — here and elsewhere — is the reason that Argentina is Argentina, France is France, Greece is Greece, Mexico is Mexico, urban USA is urban USA.

Can we all please step back a moment from our selfish and self-centered lives and ruminate on how difficult it must be to raise children when your husband is President of the United States?

You may not realize that Freudian slip actually probably points not just so much to the Marie-Antoinette qualities of Michelle Obama, but also indicates that grapevine talk about her husband being bisexual probably is legit.
