Braun Brothers at the Troubadour

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 8:05 pm

Lately I have been posting a number of videos by the bands Reckless Kelly and Micky and the Motorcars, two bands that play a rockin’ brand of country. See, for example, here, here, and here.

Last night I was fortunate to see both bands at the legendary Troubadour. Mrs. P. opted out to help the kids with homework, so I thought I’d be alone, but I ran into a friend at the concert — a music nerd like Mrs. P. and me, who had a spot for me right up front!

Great show. The brothers sang together quite a bit, and for one night I felt like I was back in Austin, Texas.

  4. i just bought 2 noosa yogurts for me (because I’m worth it) and some of those ever-shrinking “fun size” milky way snickers thingers those weirdo mars family freaks make for the lobby at the office

to make them look bigger and not like we mugged some fat kid’s halloween bucket i mixed in some regular-sized heath bars and some regular-sized reese’s dark chockit peabnut bubber cups

I take this candy in the lobby thing very seriously

even in these dark times of ascendant fascism you should have candy in the lobby

  5. Do they have proper punctuation in “the lobby” ?
Or is “the lobby” a punctuation-free zone ?

  6. I bet these Braun Brothers are probably not as talented as Justin Bieber.
And just you wait until Justin recruits his brother to play—then, it’ll be double trouble.

It will be a cage-match for the ages…Braun Brothers VS Bieber Brothers.

Nobody will be stuffing their grills with Milky Ways or Snickers while watching that—cuz that’s definitely a filet mignon kind of night.
