Welcome to the Republican echo chamber, commissioner!

Am I the only one who would have liked to hear him elaborate?

  1. picking any cnn propaganda whore would have been a mistake I think

there’s nothing special about candy in this respect

  2. How about selecting Brit Hume or Jake Tapper for moderator in 2016?

  3. they should select somebody with integrity not a journalist

  4. Crowley was prepared by the Demos before the debate. She knew exactly the reference Obama made.’

    It was a set up.

  5. speaking of award winning “journalists”:
    Soledad pushed out at CNN

High-profile morning anchor Soledad O’Brien is on her way out at CNN as new boss Jeff Zucker moves Erin Burnett into her morning slot, Page Six has exclusively learned.
We’re told award-winning journalist O’Brien has indicated she is ready to leave after she was initially promised a plum prime-time slot, but that role has so far failed to materialize.

A source tells us: “The deal to move Erin to the morning alongside Chris Cuomo is basically done. Soledad had been told she’d get a prime-time slot, but that hasn’t yet happened, and now she is telling friends she is likely to leave.”

    Yeah.

  6. Oh, ‘for the love of pete’ Raddatz, spun the question before Biden even had to answer it, William Hurt in ;Altered States’, was less in the tank.

  7. the erin burnett chris cuomo pairing is very Glee I think

  9. The question is:
As they are currently formatted, just why should any Republican engage in a Presidential Debate?

  10. As they are currently formatted, just why should any Republican engage in a Presidential Debate?

Because if they don’t, they’re cast as childish and intransigent.

Just the opposite treatment from when, say, Obama led the boycott of the FoxNews debate in 2008.

    See how that works?

  11. The “party spokesholes” need to start laying out the case for a serious reform of the Debate system NOW. This “revelation” by this commissioner is just the foundation that this effort for reform needs.
If the system is so corrupt that it can’t be reformed, then it should be shunned.
The GOP candidates in ’16 can create a primary debate system that is fair, and insist that the Prez Debate mimick it.
There is no disgrace for not entering a corrupt contest if the battlefield is properly prepared.

  12. “There you go again!”

Ronald Reagan was able to use the bias of the media to his advantage. So did Newt Gingrich, at least for a while.

  13. “There you go again” was a response to one of Carter’s lame comments, but yes, Reagan had the media cowed. For a while.

  14. I wonder if there was a deal that no one from Fox or MSNBC would participate. Leaving folks from the media’s purported “center”.

Brit Hume would actually have been fair and astute in the foreign policy debate, and is the kind of person who would have objected to BS from either side.

    Kevin M (bf8ad7)

  15. Tony Snow would have made a great moderator.

  17. They could always have Rush as the moderator – he would definitely be more even-handed than what we’ve seen from the MSM, and funnier.
