Patterico: Who will hold Saxby Chambliss and Hillary Clinton accountable for what they did to Ms. Elena Sassower?

See The "Celluloid DNA" of the public Senate Judiciary Committee Confirmation hearing where Ms. Sassower was arrested on the bogus charge of Disruption of Congress, especially frames 19 & 20, that prove the judicial confirmation process is a facade & sham, as it protects backroom brokered deals instead of the interests of We the People. http://sassower.org/video/

See also Ms. Sassower's 6/16/03 memorandum to Mr. Ralph Nader (and the organizations Public Citizen and Common Cause) re Championing Basic Civil Rights--and the Vital Importance of Citizen Participation in Federal Judicial Selection. http://www.judgewatch.org/disruption-of-congress/appendix/149-53-memo-nader-6-16-03.pdf ; and, http://www.judgewatch.org/web-pages/disruption-of-congress/disruption-of-congress-case.htm .

Patterico, Are you still a fan of Saxby Chambliss?

If you want to get glimmer of the real Saxby Chambliss, see where he teamed up with Hillary (What difference does it make? - similar to Valley Girl version - Whatever?) Clinton, to punish an honest & earnest citizen (Elena Sassower) who attempted to hold government accountable the Senate Judiciary Committee at a Confirmation hearing, by having Ms. Sassower arrested, charged & convicted on a totally bogus charge of Disruption of Congress and given six (6) months in the DC Jail.

Chambliss was the complaining witness - only he did not appear at the sham trial. Morever, is the stubborn simple fact that Ms. Sassower disrupted nothing (the so-called hearing had been gaveled closed) and she caused no harm; she was both polite & respectful when she requested an opportunity to testify against a nominee at the hearing. http://www.judgewatch.org/web-pages/disruption-of-congress/disruption-of-congress-case.htm

None of these clowns, fools, petty tyrants - have the slightest respect for the Constitution and the rights of citizens. of free speech & petition was seeking to hold
the government In the best traditions of the 1st Amendment rights of free speech & petition, Ms. Sassower was seeking to hold government accountable, by preventing the appointment of an unqualified and corrupt federal judicial nominee.

This despite "... The operations of the courts and the judicial conduct of judges are matters of utmost public concern. Landmark Communications, Inc. v. Virginia, 435 U.S. 829 (1978),

and, "The most important political office is that of private citizen." Justice Louis Brandeis,

and, "... It is not the function of Government to keep the citizen from falling into error, it is the function of the citizen to keep the Government from falling into error." Communications Assoc. v. Douds, 339 U.S. 382 (1950) at 442, Justice Robert Jackson in dissent.

Chambliss was tested here and came up a petty tyrant. Same re Hillary Clinton, and the rest of the senators on the Committee and in the senate, the U.S. Attorneys who prosecuted Ms. Sassower and all the federal judges (including the Supremes) who presided over her incarceration.

So much for a Constitution and the Rule of Law.
But as Hillary Clinton recently stated: What difference does it make?

People in Georgia have been looking at Sax's record and statements on economics, budgets, and spending. Let's just say they were unimpressed-- he likes to spend and tax. He barely made it last time. He would have been primaried this time and likely would have lost that. Sorry he won't be around to help you with the swatting thing, but the guy was bad in most all other aspects.

The Obama Administration is going to ignore this whether Chambliss is there or not. My hope is that your local authorities will get fed up with the celebrity swattings and get serious about investigating and prosecuting the offenders. When that happens, there will be experienced investigators and protocols that *may* benefit your case.

It's still a long shot.

<blockquote>More members of Congress – including Phil Gingrey of Roswell and Tom Graves of Ranger – are certain to consider the race now that it lacks an incumbent.</blockquote>

Phil "Todd Akin was right" Gingrey?

Good luck with that.

"Saxby Chambliss" is the coolest sounding name in the Senate. You just know a cat with that name probably wears a panama hat with his light-colored linen suit to the yacht club on a muggy southern summer day. Undoubtedly with a properly folded pocket square, and a handkerchief in his pocket that's monogrammed with his initials.

If tv producer Sherwood Schwartz were developing "Gilligan's Island" in 2013 and needed a fictional name for the millionaire character, I would nominate the name of "<i>Saxby Chambliss</i>" as an alternate choice to "<i>Thurston Howell III</i>."
