Blackburn said on CNN”s “State of the Nation” that she is hearing from “teachers, mental health professionals and doctors” that something needs to be done about the level of violence in video games, specifically referencing the “Call of Duty” shooter games. She noted that the right-wing extremist who killed 77 Norwegians in a shooting and bombing in 2011 had played “Call of Duty” as a training exercise.

(The gunman also testified in court that he played a lot of “World of Warcraft” but added that WoW was “simply a hobby.”)

“I watched some of these last night, in preparation for this segment and, Candy (Crowley), as a mother and a grandmother, I was astounded,” she said, addressing the show’s host.

Straw purchases are crimes. There just isn’t a crime called a straw purchase. Instead, its a false statement on a Form 4473 that is prosecuted.

But its such a low priority for the US Attorneys that it gets prosecution roughly one out of a hundred times its done and found.

Obama does have brass balls to back up his brazen lies.

sometimes people what our fascist government says can’t buy guns really NEED guns for protection or guess what? They will DIE because someone will KILL them to where they are not alive anymore. It happens all the time.

And no less than Vice President Joseph Biden says if it saves one life then we have to DO SOMETHING.

Though I do think making a straw purchase for someone who can’t lawfully own a gun ought to be a serious crime.

I have no problem with them enforcing that law.

If this is a dishonest attempt to ban private sales of guns by forcing all gun sales to be through a government licensed dealer and/or registered, that is not acceptable.

I also found some of Obama’s access to mental health care ideas to be good ideas. I think doctors asking law abiding and sane patients about gun ownership is absolutely unacceptable, and uses health care for defacto gun registration.

I also am concerned that those who might seek help now will be afraid they cannot trust their mental health provider, but I’m not seriously worried about that aspect.
