Eerie Similarities Between Neal Rauhauser and “LulzShack”

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 10:47 pm

Who likes putting the word “fake” in bold when referring to the sock puppets in the Weinergate saga? I’ll tell you who. A guy named “LulzShack” — and Neal Rauhauser.

These are comments from “LulzShack” that the loser tried to leave on my blog. They never showed up, but I have preserved them in my Trash file.

And this is Neal Rauhauser, from his own blog using his own name:

Why does it matter that Neal Rauhauser sounds so very, very much like “LulzShack”?

There are a few reasons. Those who are in the know can list a few in the comments section. For now, I’ll just paraphrase Troy McClure and say: you might know “LulzShack” from such blog posts as Convicted Bomber Brett Kimberlin, Neal Rauhauser, Ron Brynaert, and Their Campaign of Political Terrorism.

I’ll have more to say about this in coming days. For now, let’s just say that “LulzShack” knew a lot about my SWATting at a time that he had no business knowing anything about it …

Remember this screenshot?

(That’s not really Dennis Markuze. That’s just one of several names “LulzShack” used as a joke.)

Your hint: my SWATting was not public knowledge when those tweets were sent.

Hi, Neal!

P.S. Has anyone been reading Rauhauser’s blog lately? If you have, you have no doubt seen that he seems to believe he is going to be indicted soon.

P.P.S. …

  1. Teaser: see that 173.245 IP address?

Yeah. Weird how that correlates with people trying to leave comments on my blog trying to make conservatives look bad.

  9. For a guy who takes sockpuppets so seriously, IMO Neal sure has a lot of psychotic sockpuppets… and IMO he’s terrible at it. Even without the similar verbiage, he always has that overly dramatic and self important vibe. And he’s always trying to harm. Either he’s giddy about the idea of harassing and smearing, or he’s begging for pictures of someone’s family, etc etc.

Most people wouldn’t behave like that ever. A few would act like that if they are in a moment of fury. But Neal always acts like that, so it’s obvious when a new psycho pops up, giggling about harassment, being dramatic, that it’s probably Neal. The other amusing thing is how Neal et al will go on and on about how it’s paranoia when someone suggests this is Neal again. Do they call that consciousness of guilt?

I believe he’s got a long list of victims, and I wish them all some justice even though they rarely are able to work together (probably Neal’s only success is how his foes have been manipulated against one another for stupid reasons).

Unfortunately, there’s little I can do to help. This isn’t going to be solved by reacting to lies or taming flamewars or repeatedly showing the evidence to people on twitter. This is a matter that can only be solved by law enforcement professionals and also by Aaron Walker and Dan Backer’s tireless determination in court, which frankly is just awesome. I hope everyone who cares about this helps them see this through.

  10. Certainly an indictment of Rauhauser would go a small distance toward lessening my belief that this country is turning into Venezuela.
