elissa mentioned President Zero’s endorsement of the Detroit Tigers…who responded by getting swept in four games.

It’s no joke, Obama’s endorsement of a sports team is a death knell. Radio talker Michael Medved has had fun periodically recounting the misfortunes that have befallen teams that Obama has publicly rooted for or picked to win.

Even the Connecticut women’s basketball team of a couple seasons ago broke the MEN’S record (set by John Wooden’s UCLA Bruins) of consecutive wins over the course of a few seasons without a loss. When the U-Conn coach was in the middle of a press conference broadcast on ESPN, Obama literally called his cell phone to congratulate him right there on tv.

The streak ended a few days later. It was their first loss in almost three years.
