   A tech question: Will you credit for the item searched for, or all items bought by a visitor from the search box?

5. My 82 year old mom’s book club is researching Catherine the Great and Aaron Burr (they typically do two historical figures a month) and I was happy to order her books for her from the Amazon link here. It’s just a nice convenience and for a good cause too.

6. A tech question: Will you credit for the item searched for, or all items bought by a visitor from the search box?

   Once you get to the site via the search box, anything you buy at the site will benefit the site.

   Another tech question: Is there a time limit to buy using the Patterico Search Box and still benefit you? I can’t find it now but I think the Instapundit said earlier this week that he only gets credit from his links to Amazon products if readers buy within 30 minutes of using the link.

   Yep.

   I like to turn Adblock off for blogs I read a lot, so long as the ads aren’t annoying.

   Just click the stop sign icon with ABP on it, and select ‘disable at ____.com’ (whatever blog you’re at).

    Excellent question. I don’t know the answer but Glenn makes far more off this than I do — so I would treat him as the expert and go with what he says.

19. ok done and done I just ended up giving a gift certificate for the content part cause I ordered it “unregistered” for so they can decide how they want to set it up but I also got cool pink accessories to girly it up

    that was very thoughtful of me

    On the contrary, Amazon caved, and agreed to start collecting sales tax next year, and to support national legislation making everyone collect sales tax.
