  1. In the midst of the every day minutiae, it’s a very powerful thing to be stopped dead in one’s tracks by seeing such a powerful love between two people so eloquently and magnificently played out in real life.

    For seventy years this couple chose to stay the course through thick and thin and good and the bad and everything in between because they knew (and I think beyond a shadow of a doubt) that their love would prevail. To the end. And it did.

    What marvelous examples of light and goodness and hope in an often brutally dark world.

  8. read that story to my husband and broke up as I was reading it, we have been together over 25 yrs and I couldn’t imagine him going without me, and visa versa 🙂
