“I’m Sending This Tape to Congress”

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 12:35 pm

I don’t want to pay his rent either. Know what I’m saying?

Thanks to Dana.

Yep – and amazing to see how some people have no conscience whatever about lying and stealing and taking advantage of, quite literally, everyone around them.

Bonus: her reaction when he says, “My conversation is rent, you know what I’m saying? Just her being around me is me paying rent. I don’t gotta give her no cash…that’s what she was there for. I’m 21, messing around; she’s 30, that’s what she’s there for.”

  10. “That’s what we’re creating.”

    Ditto.

  11. Give the man a mortgage loan. He probably qualifies under some of the programs Holder is strong arming banks to agree to right now. Lend him 150% of the purchase price and he’ll have some pocket money. Know what I’m sayin?

    daleyrocks (bf33e9)

  12. An audible whistle occurs several times during the sequence. Someone’s commentary?

    felipe (2ec14c)

  13. And, most unintentionally, it provides yet another look at our educational system – this is a 3rd year college student. If that info were not provided in the vid and I simply listened to him speak, I would have quite seriously guessed assumed he dropped out in about the 5th grade.

    Dana (4eca6e)

  14. Isn’t this like trickle down tea economics.

She’s giving him room and board for services rendered and his very engaging presence. The county gives him money for a place to live.

She can kick him out and he can use that money to pay for a hotel or he can use it to the things he needs to do so that she will keep paying his rent.

The government isn’t paying his rent. She is.

(or maybe not if the commenter that said neither paid rent was right)

If there’s a hole in your ceiling and your landlord gives you free rent for a month or two until they fix it, would you be obligated to return the money…um…no…

This ain’t even prostitution…some people would call it marriage.

Judge Judy is always the opposite of right…and she’s a thug….

  15. Ron takes the side of the pimp. As I said, you can tell a lot about people by their reaction to this sequence. It just told us something about Ron.

But I doubt it was news.

  16. Good find, Dana.

    DRJ (a83b8b)

  17. He’s a college student? A junior? This is the product of a decade and a half of education? In most of human history, that much education should mark him as a serious scholar.

Daley’s right. Just sign him up for assistance and he can then qualify for a mortgage. Then he can stop paying it and ‘mortgage reform’ can keep him in his house for a year anyway.

  18. Ronbryn is a racist.

Anyone care to bet who this clown voted for?

  19. Another very disturbing part of this clip, is that the young man clearly does not have any ethical dilemma about spending the money for himself. He actually seems puzzled that Judge Judy does, and he does not seem to be able to process or understand that this money is not really *his* money to spend as he wishes.

So, all by itself, this little clip speaks to our entitlement system that breeds such a selfish I-deserve-this-money belief, it speaks to our educational system that produces such inarticulate gems, it speaks to our declining culture that the issue of right and wrong, and honesty and dishonesty, has become so nebulous that it no longer exists in the minds of some.

    Overall, immensely depressing.

    Dana (4eca6e)

  20. …oh, and it speaks to the status of young women, who still – in spite of our liberation – feel so horrible about themselves and desperate, that they’re willing to be used by a slimy piece of goo with no regard or value for them.

  21. Heartwarming

  22. There are so many parts of this that are so wrong. I’m tired of paying this and all other freeloaders’ rent. Know what I’m saying. I hate that expression.

I’m with you, Dana. No more than fifth grade.

    PatAZ (da3db7)

  23. Wow an obot calling Judge Judy a thug.

    Gotta love the prjection.

  24. let him earn his rent… lots of unexploded ordnance and mines in various places around the globe.

lets send him out there, under watch, with as shovel and a metal detector: as a “musician”, he should appreciate the sounds it makes.

    at least for awhile.

  25. Greetings:

“Judge Judy” may be the most conservative show on TV value-wise. In addition to her observations on the inanities of our prolific and expanding welfare safety nets and hammocks, she is unafraid to go after those who prefer to co-habitate and procreate outside of marriage, and those parents who let their teenagers love interests move in.

I just wish she would stop trying to convince women not to give money to their (male) sweethearts.

Exactly. It looked like her reaction to his [paraphrasing] “my even deigning to be with her ancient 30 year old self should be rent enough” may have been her first hard thinking about how thoroughly he was using her.

  27. Democrats think that Duane is cool, just like they they think that Sharpton are Obama cool. They are neither crazy, nor stupid. They are just immoral. A classy liberal would be an oxymoron.

  28. The guy is a con artist, pure and simple. Con artists take money under false pretenses.

They are practiced at fooling people. If you think he doesn’t understand what he’s doing, if you really think he doesn’t understand what the judge is telling him, you are being naive, I think.

He’s a grown man, and is a responsible agent. The default is to assume he knows right from wrong and is choosing to do wrong. His performance on that TV show doesn’t change anything.

  31. Boil that down to a 30-second clip and you got yourself a compelling, TV-ready spot for how far down the road to serfdom we are…and judges, bailiffs, and everyone else who’s not a waste of skin and air (I’m talkin’ to YOU, Duane!) are the serfs.

    Oh, wait, that would be…racist!

Sometimes I feel like Pacino in Scent of a Woman, “I oughtta TAKE A FLAMETHROWER TO THIS PLACE!”

  33. If this clip surprises you, then you don’t watch much Judge Judy. She deals with situations like this in many episodes. She regularly exposes govt benefit scammers like this guy, SSID recipients with dubious “disabilities,” double-dippers, etc. She’s a hero to me.

  35. Fudge. Yesterday I was in Hawaii where I have fast internet, today I’m back in the wilds of California on my 56K dial-up…and, I can’t watch the Judge Judy video (unless I let it buffer for about eleventy hundred hours).

My heart is full of anguish.

  38. #14 – Judge Judy is an entertainer, nothing more,
and she provides good theater. Get a grip, Ron.
