Patterico's Pontifications

Oh Noes! Big Government and Big Journalism are Both Ripping Me Off, At the Same Time!

Filed under: General — Aaron Worthing @ 11:24 am

[Guest post by Aaron Worthing; if you have tips, please send them here.  Or by Twitter @AaronWorthing.]

Which is my backwards way of pointing out that I have successfully cross-posted at both Big Journalism and Big Government borrowing significantly from this post at Patterico’s (in other words, if anything I am ripping myself off).  This site sells official Right Wing Conspiracy membership cards:

I think I need to buy one now, and keep it in my wallet near my driver’s license and bar memberships cards.

Of course if you read Patterico’s Pontifications on a regular basis, you would get to see these posts at least a day earlier, hint, hint

  1. Shameless self-promotion!
You’ve turned into another Geraldo (Heh).

    AD-RtR/OS! (eb1676)

  2. AD

    > You’ve turned into another Geraldo (Heh).

Hey now… that is below the belt, there…

    Aaron Worthing (e7d72e)

  3. Well, shameless is as shameless does.

    AD-RtR/OS! (eb1676)

  4. Congrats, Aaron.

    rbj (9ae8d9)

  5. Congrats. Pretty soon you’ll be introduced to the Elders of Zion, and then it will all make sense.

    Milhouse (ea66e3)

  6. Nice going, Aaron.

    no one you know (325a59)

  7. Milhouse

will they tell me what crashed at roswell?

    Aaron Worthing (e7d72e)

  8. well deserved, Aaron.

    elissa (c14551)

  9. Sorry, that’s a different conspiracy. This is Michael Flynn’s In the Country of the Blind, not Shea and Wilson’s Illuminatus!

    Milhouse (ea66e3)

  10. That is to say, there are many unrelated conspiracies, not one grand one.

    Milhouse (ea66e3)

  11. milhouse

    > That is to say, there are many unrelated conspiracies, not one grand one.

i just got this secret message from the Breitbart, Limbaugh, Elders of Zion cabal. it simply reads:

sure they are unrelated… that is what we want you to think…

    Aaron Worthing (e7d72e)

  12. That just means they don’t know about the other conspiracies. Proof: all three of them are in the same one; why did nobody from any of the other conspiracies sign the message? Because they’re unrelated and don’t know about each other, that’s why. At least, that’s Flynn’s theory, and it makes more sense to me than Shea and Wilson’s. If one conspiracy can exist, then what stops there from being more than one?

    Milhouse (1448a4)

  13. Congratulations on making the Bigs, Aaron. May you be seen there often!

    Dianna (5bc608)

  14. You will henceforth be forever known as “Brietbart puppet” Aaron Worthing, and receive spittle-flecked abuse at the hands of the haters.

    Uh, congratulations, I guess.

    //seriously!

    Pious Agnostic (6048a8)

  15. Hey, having your strings pulled by Brietbart puts you in pretty august company – he has an innate ability to pull the right (wrong) strings on a lot of people on the Left who should know better than to respond, but do so anyway to their everlasting regret and humiliation.
So, just pass those pulls on to those who need it, and sit back and watch the commotion that you stir up.

    AD-RtR/OS! (eb1676)

  16. do you get a green smoking jacket with those pretensious elbow patches?

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  17. I told you before
    PeeWee Johnson you gotta
    learn to use spellcheck

    ColonelHaiku (822dce)

  18. Colonalhacku

    eh?

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  19. pretentious

    Machinist (b6f7da)

  20. “Of course if you read Patterico’s Pontifications on a regular basis, you would get to see these posts at least a day earlier, hint, hint…”

Ummmm … is there any reason you posted that on Patterico’s Pontifications ??? (Since we have to be readin said potifications to see your post here ?)

Or were you just trying to yet further confuse EPWJ ?

    Alasdair (e7cb73)

  21. Alasdair – it takes nothing that subtle to confuse some people. Things like 1+1 and how to spell c-a-t would also do the trick quite nicely.

    JD (85b089)

  22. Machinist

I think you were the guy who blamed 9/11 on the cowardice of the passengers on the airplanes?

So how is my spelling now?

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  23. Alasdair

Not fighting with you – being scottish

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  24. EPWJ,

I don’t care about your spelling. You asked a question and I answered it. Don’t ask the question if you don’t want an answer.

As your question to me shows, your problem is with your lies and lack of honor, not your spelling. That is what I have a problem with regarding you.

    Machinist (b6f7da)

  25. Machinist

Eh, I’m not the guy who disgraced the memory of dead people by wondering if they were of character to save their own lives and not embarass your overinflated sense of patriotism

    but oh well

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  26. Also Machinist

I was just refering to that Tom Hanks skit on SNL where hosts got a green smoking jacket

It was humor – but to a guy who thinks he has some role on this blog like JD – to police everyone’s comments

thats just you – being you – blaming dead people

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  27. I did not complain about your spelling. I answered your question about it, with no commentary at all.

I stand by the opinions I expressed. Your mischaracterizations of them are your own.

Do you still claim JD made death threats against you, or was that only when he was not here to dispute it?

    Machinist (b6f7da)

  28. Machinist

    right JD is JD

    But you are you

and you were given months to walk back that comment and the fact that someone like JD who seems to be concerned about everyone’s accuracy hasnt called you out on it is probably something for people to think about as well – including many others – oters who would nitpick with people about Prescott Bush on a thread where Pats family is being threatened

    Yep

Dead people on planes – wonder if their relatives would have something to say to you if you were not such a coward

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  29. You looked quite silly when you were asked to explain and it came out how you were distorting the truth. You also looked like a shameless liar.

    Machinist (b6f7da)

  30. Anyway comment ahead – I was just kidding Aaron – but maybe I will email all my comments to the constant comment committee you appoint so we dont get off topic

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  31. I have no idea what your are talking about with Prescott Bush. I don’t recall ever mentioning him.

    Machinist (b6f7da)

  32. There were people who I respect such as Patterico that disagreed with me on the issue. I respect their opinions. Then there is you lying about that thread. You I have no respect for.

    Machinist (b6f7da)

  33. I think Mark Steyn said it best, pre 9/11 the rule is your plane was being hijacked, you didn’t rebel, and you wouldn’t get hurt, what happened on flight
93, is that Beamer and co, found out about the other flights, and threw out that rule book, he calls their battle to gain access the cockpit,
‘the first victory of 9/11. To misunderstand things so incredibly, really marks you as a fool, Eric,

    ian cormac (d380ce)

  34. machinist

Look, I dont want your respect – I could care less – you have my respect because you do love your country – very much

Just have a terrible way of expressing it – but I have no doubt you would have tried to do something

no doubt at all – but your chance wasnt there that day – so I understand its hard for a person like you to live with that

I had to hear crap for 6 years in Arabia and be nice…

    Yep it sucks

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  35. ian

Of course I am a fool. I dont give a crap who Mark Steyn is – and the Beamers of this world are out there those Hijackers just happened to run into one and the results were a given

Todd did what he was born to do defend the weak against the wicked

Doesnt mean the others were not

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  36. Machinist, you know the old saying about wrestling with a pig? EPWJ likes this kind of nonsense.

The truth is, anyone can look at your posts and how you act toward others…and compare his posts and how he acts toward others. He knows how he looks, and that makes him act even nuttier than he usually does. Hence the weird language, the passive-aggressive insults, and the serial, um, tall tales (notice that all of those tall tales inflate his perception of his own importance).

He is a joke. You aren’t. But he does love to fight!

    Simon Jester (1c544f)

  37. All right. Very funny.

    Who gave Eric the LSD?

    Dave Surls (0a100b)

  38. I think it is more of a wiring problem, Dave.

    Simon Jester (1c544f)

  39. Simon

I expect nothing less from you

    Dave

    I’m high on life 🙂

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  40. If you’ve read Eco’s ‘Foucault’s Pendulum’ it’s even more Byzantine, then again, it may just be
    the StoneCutters.

    ian cormac (d380ce)

  41. Simon

What is your beef with me spell it out

I’ve got two kids at WEst Point, stuck in a hotel going to parks by day (man is this a pretty area) seeing my oldest at Buckner when she gets a break and my youngest is being scouted for a week

    so I have some time

I think you dont think I live in the middle east

Well officially I left now after 6 full years almost to the day

You made some kind of complaint to Pat I wasnt in Abu dhabi when I was – what is it?

    So spell it out

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  42. I think you are deranged, actually, EPWJ. True, I suspect that many of your brags (getting your hair cut at the Four Seasons, for example) are all about inflating your image to others. Who cares? I sure don’t. But you do.

You have been shown, repeatedly, to misrepresent others and basically make up things. Frogmarch anyone recently? Christians in the Middle East? The list is a long one, and quite frankly, embarrassing for you.

I normally just ignore you, since I am getting to the point where I think your issues are medical.

But Machinist is a fine person. He has demonstrated this for a long period of time…with not only what he believes, but how he deals with different opinions. You are just doing what you normally do: pick fights.

    Take your threadjacking elsewhere.

Again: all you really are, I suspect, is DCSCA without spellcheck. Kind of sad, really.

    Simon Jester (1c544f)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overseas_Filipino

There are also tens of thousands of Christian Indians, Vietnamese, and Europeans working

I have witnessed these numbers first hand – perhaps you understand that you are wrong

And everyone gets their hair cut at the four seasons 🙂

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  44. I had forgotten about that Flynn early work, then again Tim Powers, ‘Declare’ which ties Noah’s Ark,
Kim Philby and the rise and fall of the Soviet Union, is an interesting tome,

    ian cormac (d380ce)

  45. Simon

I can deal with it alot of people are envious of expats in dangerous places – but I must defer to your superior knowledge

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  46. simon

We have moved to Jakarta – My wife is there getting the house ready and working hard – my youngest leaves last of July – I – if I go – will be there later this fall – Its my oldest last year at West Point – I have had to miss every function – I want a few weeks with her ring weekend the Army Navy game, the 100th night – all of those traditions I have had to miss by being overseas

I mised every single WPAOP function and need to make it up

Also I have some projects here that need attending to after 6 years

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  47. Ian, “Declare” is a great novel, as are pretty much all of Tim Powers’ books.

As for the other fiction under discussion, well, it speaks for itself. There is a nice long record of bizarre statements and nonsense.

    Simon Jester (1c544f)

  48. Simon

The links proves that my statements on christians in Arabia seems to have some validity – does it not? adding in europe these numbers swell even higher. Add in the Christian palestinians, Egyptians, Lebanese these numbers get even larger

But facts never seem to bother some

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  49. Um, this is your game. No one really cares about your blathering. But I would point out that your claim, directly, was that Christians outnumbered Muslims in the Middle East. Goalposts get heavy, don’t they?

But that is your game, and it really is tiresome.

Fact is, you are a serial fabulist, and you just like to fight. You aren’t even good at it (which is why I suspect medication is involved).

There is a record here on this blog, and every time folks engage you, you simply add to your long history of bizarreness.

    Seek help.

    Simon Jester (1c544f)

  50. Simon

Weak, your are wrong and you have to distort and make up things to make even a weak case

Oh well – going to be – have to be at Buckner Tomorrow

You go one and have a good day

    EricPWJohnson (2921b6)

  51. The sad part, EPWJ….is that you have your record. And it is tough for you to think you come across honestly and fairly with that record.

And you have no one to blame but yourself. The record isn’t going away. Heck, you irritated Stashiu3 and DRJ. That says more about *you* than anything else.

So go do whatever you need to do.

    Simon Jester (1c544f)

  52. Simon Jester,
Thank you for the kind remarks.

    Machinist (b6f7da)

  53. The links proves that my statements on christians in Arabia seems to have some validity – does it not? adding in europe these numbers swell even higher. Add in the Christian palestinians, Egyptians, Lebanese these numbers get even larger

    — Add in the 2 million fairy Jews in Iran and your validity is validated!

    Icy Texan (cf66fd)

  54. EPWJ #23 – hmmmm – so you are sorta like Gordon Brown – scottish, but I will point out that we Scots prefer not to be reminded of that sorry fact (or of that sorry person) …

    Alasdair (9455c2)

  55. They ran out of Seroquel and Lithium in Jakarta?!

    JD (29e1cd)

  56. The implication was that Christian influence was important in Middle-Eastern society. That is why Saudi customs agents don’t confiscate Christian crosses and Bibles.

    Have Blue (dbbcd4)

  57. Machinist has forgotten more about the concept of integrity than the bibble babble international investment seminar oil tycoon serial fabulist jooooooooooo counter epwj could ever dream of knowing. Integrity is a concept foreign to him.

    JD (d48c3b)

  58. I thought integrity was only a foreign concept to democrats..
