Weinergate: @Starchild111 In Transition

Filed under: General — Stranahan @ 4:00 pm

Another GREAT find by AZ5thDistrict….who tweeted

starchild in 1/2011 – 7 on tweet counter(Jenay) & on 4/11 still at 7 w/ name (starchild)http://bit.ly/lGyojb

For anyone clinging to the theory that even though Jenny George CREATED the Starchild account, she possibly maybe kinda hasn’t been PROVEN to be Nikki  this is huge.

Here’s the @Starchild account on April, 2011. . Still not quite ‘Nikki’ yet. No name.

Star-follows

But – look at her followers….some of the old ones, but also – @GingerLee. The transition to Weiner women has begun. Is this REALLY how a ‘hacker’ would do it? Or are we looking at someone working on something, in process?

Check the site yourself.

And from March 13 – here’s GingerLee tweeting back to Starchild…

ginger

So Weiner is clearly being targeted by Starchild in March – but following the same people that Jenay did.

  1. The anonymity of the internet is a very sharp, two-sided sword. “Luckily” anonymity will soon be a thing of the past.

  2. Should be 4/6 not 4/11

  3. I asked on Lee’s blog, but….how does the Tweet count from January to April remain at 7 if she tweeted Ginger Lee in March?

  4. And we have this just in:

“Officials with the Southern Baptist Convention said they have been the victim of an elaborate online hoax that included a phony news release announcing that the nation’s largest Protestant denomination had changed its position on homosexuality.

The release was sent to an unknown number of reporters and directed readers to a website designed to replicate the real Southern Baptist Convention website, along with working telephone numbers where individuals identified themselves as employees of the SBC Executive Committee.

“It is definitely a hoax,” said Roger Oldham, vice president for communication and convention relations for the SBC Executive Committee. “It seems to be perpetrated by an unidentified hacker who is trying to mimic the look of our SBC.net family of web pages.”

The news release came from a group calling itself the “Southern Baptist Conference of America.” The release falsely announced that the Southern Baptists had met in “extraordinary emergency session” to affirm gay rights and repent “of any past homophobia that not only hurt gay people but kept them ostracized from the church.”

The release included phony quotes and comments affirming homosexuality from real denominational leaders, including Southern Baptist Convention President Bryant Wright.”

Perhaps a dry run, for the exciting ’12 campaign season. Think how much fun Alinsky drones will have, punking GOP candidates’ sites.

    By deleting tweets I believe.

  6. Once you establish definitively that Nikki is Jenay, then you’ve established that John & Patricia Reid are phony Identities. But it does not necessarily follow that John & Patricia are Jenay, just extremely likely.

  7. Interesting.

But if someone else had picked up the starchild111 account, why wouldn’t they add stuff they’re interested in to the existing follows?

The point of taking an old account is to not have a brand new empty account. You keep the old tweets and old follows so you look like a real person with a history.

“Is this REALLY how a ‘hacker would do it?” is just directionless innuendo. Say what you mean by this.

  8. Yeah, “repenting of any past homophobia” with an emphasis on the word homophobia should have been the dead giveaway. Most people outside of the agenda bubble don’t ever use that term.

  9. True, Elissa, but they went to a lot of trouble to not only set up the website, but to have phones & real people to answer.

Kind of too much effort just for a gay rights group, IMO.

Re the “homophobia” word – now that would be a word used by Episcopalians (I used to be one). They like to repent of PC sins a lot.

  11. To show how old I am. I remember when the truth meant something. The pursuit of same, was honorable. Encouraged. Hopefully, in those long forgotten days, of yesteryear, “Justice” would follow, the truth. The Left has chipped away at both for decades, but the low water mark, was during PrezNut ZipperGate. The Chief Law Enforcer of the USA lied under oath, to a federal judge. His defense – it depends on what the meaning of is, is. His minions took the airways with – everyone lies.

To hope, that any from the Left, regardless of their crime, like sending threats, might be brought to justice ……

    Here’s the bong, bro.

  12. Pat you are a left coast guy. How many teens still follow not only GnR but Skid Row? I mean following Duff? Interesting. GnR has not has a viable release in almost 10 years. Age?

Wow! Elaborate hoax, that. Great find.

  15. Miranda,
There were tweets deleted between first record with 7 tweets (cached on 1/1/2011) and the Starchild lists cache (4/6/11). The next cache we have of the account is from 4/16/11…showing 11 tweets, but only 4 tweets from between the first two dates are still in existence there:

    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Dd9E06XoSXIJ:twitter.com/starchild111+twitter.com/starchild111&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a&source=www.google.com

Therefore, it seems unwise to assert the tweet counts as being accurate on any of these caches, as clearly tweets were often deleted.

However, if you compare the following of each one, those accounts remain consistent from first through third cache, just with people being added but not deleted.(The exception to the rule appears that between the 2nd and 3rd caches, one person followed in the first batch of has been unfollowed.)

[The unfollowed options are likely to be Khloé Kardashian, Robert Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez Fan, Natalie Martinez, or…Writers’ Program. I know which one Lee would pick as the unfollowed one.]

Note: I hadn’t seen the Starchild111/lists cache until a reader emailed it to me and another blogger early yesterday. I think that reader deserves the credit for the find. I’ll send them an email to let them know they can come claim their due here in the comments if they wish to.

  16. Miranda,

I’ve tried putting a hyperlinked link here to the April 16th cache, but the spam filter is catching me when I do that, so you’ll have to go yourself to: bit DOT ly SLASH j1rsSb

Therefore, it seems unwise to assert the tweet counts as being accurate on any of these caches, as clearly tweets were often deleted.

However, if you compare the “following” of each one, those tweeters remain consistent from first through third cache, just with people being added but not deleted.

The first cache had 16 people she followed. The second cache had 26, with all the original 16 shown, but 10 more added, with GingerLee being the last of the new 10. The third cache has the exception to the rule. It appears that between the 2nd and 3rd caches, one person followed in the first batch of has been unfollowed.

[The unfollowed options are likely to be Khloé Kardashian, Robert Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez Fan, Natalie Martinez, or…Writers’ Program. I know which one Lee would pick.]

The total “following” by Starchild111 on 4/16/11 included celebrities, GingerLee, “Ethel” and GennetteNicole. No one else.

Also notable: Ethel was a huge Lebron fan, and Starchild111 followed two Lebron tweeters after following her.

And amid the love for multiple Jennifer Lopez accounts and all of the Kardashians, Starchild turns out to be a big fan of…Guns-n-Roses, following all of the band members. Not exactly 16-year-old fare, unless Slash guitar games inspired an affinity for their music (or a parent tended to play them on the hi-fi).

Note: I hadn’t seen the Starchild111/lists cache until a reader emailed it to me and another blogger early yesterday. I think that reader deserves the credit for the find. I’ll send them an email to let them know they can come claim their due here in the comments if they wish to.
