#Weinergate & The “Would A Parent Buy It?” Test

Filed under: General — Stranahan @ 6:03 am

[Guest post by Lee Stranahan]

I’ve written previously about the “Would Your Spouse Buy It Test”?

But Weiner’s latest press conference we’ve moved beyond that to the lower bar of “Would A Reasonable Sane Parent Even Possibly Accept This Excuse And Just Move On” Test.

  1. so is that like you and… a daughter or something?

    Aaron Worthing (e7d72e)

  2. Now that is funny.

    Harry Staab (be8f22)

  3. Hahahahahahahahahaha.

    That’s hilarious.

  4. That’s my daughter…

    Lee Stranahan (708cc3)

  5. She’s a lovely girl… but i think by the end it was pretty clear even she thought her lines were too ridiculous.

then again, i don’t think Robert DeNiro could say those lines with a straight face.

    anyway, nice touch.

  6. But Dad—all the kids are doing it!

    Mike Myers (0e06a9)

  7. lulz

  8. Nicely argued, Lee. I mean, it seems like a blatantly obvious point, but no reason not to just put his defense to the test.

Weiner’s treatment of the press was pure elitism. It was corrupt power refusing to accept the concept that Weiner works for the people and these are reasonable questions.

He’s always bashing people on the flimsiest grounds. Now, he can’t even answer yes or no?

  9. You’ve written previously… Written is a verb, requiring an adverb to modify it.

Cute kid. I totally bought her response, and I would give her a pass on the cookie caper.

If Weiner was anywhere in the vicinity at the time the cookies disappeared… naw, he would probably have been busy flashing your daughter, that sick pervert.

  10. John Stewart gives Weiner a total pass under the guise of humor.

Get this, guys: the picture doesn’t HAVE to be Weiner’s weiner; it only has to have been SENT by him for him to be responsible.

  11. So now we have the Weiner the world awaited to answer a simple question.

    SteveM (64050d)

  12. Pimping ur kids instead of getting evidence.

    All to what?

    Check ur self

    Sad (b37804)

  13. “sad” is sooooooooo cute.

  14. Maybe sending the wiener pic was a preemptive salvo in a presidential bid. I harken back to the good old days of elected philanderers when Gov. Clinton was asked “boxers or briefs” on MTV Rock the Vote. Now it’s all on Twitter. Modernity.

  15. Sad, who in the hell do you think you are to call this video ‘pimping’?

It’s a cute kid talking about cookies by refusing to answer the question, and an effective demonstration of how silly Weiner’s defense is.

The only person who has power over ‘getting evidence’ is Weiner. He’s the one standing in the way of a very easy analysis of whether someone intruded into his account with a strange IP to send that shot of a penis to a woman other than his wife. He’s the one who stands in the way, and for obvious reasons.

When you shill for your favorite politicians, try to avoid attacking good children.

  16. pimping is more how Nancy Pelosi turned that execrable Graeme Frost urchin out to work the dirty socialist pole for the cameras

  17. Sad,

I, too, am familiar with the works of the philosopher Cube. And while he did say, “Check yourself, before you wreck yourself,” he also said, “A bitch is a bitch.” And you, sir, are a bitch.

    Yours, Cordially, &c.

    CliveStaples (838c1f)

  18. Nancy Pelosi the botoxed pimp.

Pay up or she will scare teh children.
