Video: Decapitated Bodies on Display One Mile from U.S. Border

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 3:45 pm

The AP reports:

A Mexican official says police found the decapitated bodies and heads of four men in downtown Nuevo Laredo, a city across Laredo, Texas.

Yawn. Another report of decapitated bodies in Mexico, right?

Let me make two points that should explain the importance of this to you.

First, The Fulano Files — a great blog I just discovered which provided me several of the links for my post about the headless body dumped in Mazatlan — explains one aspect that should get your attention:

Here is an event that happened yesterday evening around 9PM in Neuvo Laredo, Tamaulipas. This scene is at the intersection of Paseo Colón and Leandro Valle, in Nuevo Laredo. This is one-mile from the United States. One mile. This is not some isolated event. This is happening every single day all over Mexico.

A group of heavily armed men arrived at the site where, according to witnesses, they took their own sweet time positioning the bodies and staging the scene.

The four men, who were decapitated and with their pants pulled down to their ankles, were seen by hundreds of people passing through the area before authorities arrived on the scene.

Second: I suspect it brings it home a little more to see such things, rather than merely read about them. So, below the fold, courtesy of The Fulano Files, I present to you a video of the four bodies. I warn you that it is not for the squeamish, for several reasons. Most obviously, the video is extremely gory. There are severed heads, at least two of which have fingers sticking out of their mouths. Moreover, the bodies are completely unclothed. I am hiding the video beneath the fold and warn you not to click on “more” (or, if you came to this post via a link, to watch the video) unless you are sure you can handle it.

The Fulano Files provides a translation of the banner:

This happened to me for being a snitch and a pussy, but I swear I won’t do that again. Attention CDG [Gulf Cartel]: Keep sending more assholes from that bunch of fucking pussies just like your boss Osiel.

One mile away from the U.S.

One mile.

UPDATE: If you thought that was bad, this is like something off of rotten.com. People skinned alive and chopped up body parts everywhere. Just revolting and unbelievably awful.

  1. I should note that I went on Google Maps to verify this. It might be a couple hundred feet over a mile, technically, but it’s really that close.

This “The Fulano Files” blog is great. Probably the best place I have found for understanding what is really happening in Mexico.

  2. It is also interesting to note that the sign is professionally made. It’s not a hand painted on a bedsheet, or run off on someone’s home computer. These guys have someone, or have intimidated someone, who has a business doing banners, and they didn’t care — didn’t need to care — what the banner-maker thought about it.

  4. Thanks for the link and reference. You were on the last voyage of the Norwegian Star to Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta for the time being. They dropped those cities as a port of call after that last incident at the hotel.

  6. Fulano:

    You have an excellent blog.

However, I didn’t see in the link where NCL is skipping Puerto Vallarta. I know they have scratched Mazatlan for the season and the boat will be headed to Tampa for all future cruises.

  7. Great, my wife and older daughters are going on a cruise on the other side of Mexico in a couple of weeks

  8. There is no way you could get me to travel to Mexico – for any reason or for any amount of time – without a company of Marines as my personal escort.

  13. I think its time to deploy the military units espicailly light heli-borne infantry – they can hone their already considerable skills by sealing the borders more effectively, also time for federal heavy police units to back up local law enforcement, federal crime labs to take the financial burden off of poorer localities where these bodies are dropped

And we are going to have to federally criminalize drug use

  15. That additional link is hard to fathom. I think most cannibalistic tribes are more civilized than people who would do that.

“It is a serious thing,” says C. S. Lewis, “… to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare. … There are no ‘ordinary’ people. You have never talked to a mere mortal.”

Some are already well on their way to being a “horror and a corruption”.

  16. As troubling as this post is, last night in Chicago two men’s throats were slit in their apartment by a Mexican crew whose honcho was later shot dead and two other members arrested after a high speed chase and shoot-out in a mostly residential neighborhood not far from the lake and Loyola University campus. Police say it involved drugs and the “crew” has gang and cartel connections and is responsible for as many as 14 grisly drug murders in the past year. These are all bad people– murderers and murdered alike, so good riddance. But innocents could easily have been harmed last night.

Maybe the DREAM act would have helped these people, but I kind of doubt it.

That goes beyond sick and barbaric. The killers obviously take a sadistic delight in setting up their victims for public display—eg, note what was done with one victim’s genitals. But perhaps it’s merely an illustration that as much as things change, some things never change….

    houstonculture.org:

For hundreds of years, human sacrifice is believed to have played an important role of many of the indigenous tribes inhabiting the Valley of Mexico. However, the Mexica brought human sacrifice to levels that had never been practiced before. The Mexica Indians and their neighbors had developed a belief that it was necessary to constantly appease the gods through human sacrifice.

Over time, the Mexica, in particular, developed a feeling that the needs of their gods were insatiable. The period from 1446 to 1453 was a period of devastating natural disasters: locusts, drought, floods, early frosts, starvation, etc. The Mexica, during this period, resorted to massive human sacrifice in an attempt to remedy these problems.

The Mexica’s sacrificial rituals were elaborate in form, calculated by the high priests to appease specific gods at certain times. During the ceremony, a victim would ascend the steps of the pyramid. At the top, a Mexica priest would stretch the victim across a stone altar and cut out the victim’s heart. The priest would hold the heart aloft to the god being honored and then fling it into a sacred fire while it was still beating.

  19. Well, this whole cruise thing is in a constant state of flux. The latest is the governor of Sinaloa sent his security chief with a new “Security Plan” to Miami to get down on his knees and beg the cruise ships to return. The governor announced that Norwegian had put Mazatlan back on its itinerary.

Meanwhile, Carnival Splendor has cancelled Puerto Vallarta.

    Fulano (7c0ef2)

  20. Interesting. We’ll have to see if Norwegian confirms this claim.

They haven’t really confronted the whole headless body thing, or the shooting the next day. They have to know about these incidents, don’t they? I assume they do . . .

    Patterico (c218bd)

  21. Strange how this journey has taken, the Puerto Vallarta was highlighted on the series “the love boat” which is somewhat credited for resurrecting the dying cruise ship industry – now the boats cant dock there

    EricPWJohnson (baa24f)

  22. And we are going to have to federally criminalize drug use

Yeah, because prohibition has worked soooo well for us in the past………..

  23. Mark,

Your ancestors practiced human sacrifice too.

  24. Wasn’t it fashionable for a while to laugh at people who believed there were be-headings on the southern border? The scoffer would say something to the effect of, “That’s an urban legend.”

  25. “The Fulano Files” is a farce, the writer’s name is Linton Robinson aka “Cabo Bob”. He is not an arch conservative, this is all an act.

His best friends are Richard of The Mex Files and Frank Koughan formerly of Mother Jones. He also spends alot of time with his buddies at Distributorcap, NY.

These are are LIBERALS. Wayyyyy to the left.

Sorry, you’ve been had lady – and if you don’t believe me, scroll through his posts and read how he berates the owner of a restaurant in Rosarito Beach because of her husbands affiliation with Oliver North and ronald Reagan.

You see, Fulano is good but he slips up alot.

    Beware.

    Marjorie Ann Drake (4eae77)

  26. Please ignore the rants of Baja’s crazy lady. She hates the Fulano Files as she has been harpooned there many times. The Fulano Files is the place to go for up to date and news you can not get anywhere else. The owner of the site is one of the most interesting and intelligent gentlemen you will ever have the pleasure of reading online. He has his critics but most are the apologists for Mexico and have an az to grind where he has only the truth to expose.

    A great must read.

    Bob (c0c5d6)

  27. Oh untrue. Fulano – and you can look at all of my archives – hung out on my blog for years. It was Richard Grabman of The Mex files who told me who Fulano was – the rest is history. As far as “Bob”, well he is another character of Linton’s – aka “Cabo Bob.

Fulano slipped, he often times does, when he acknowledged on my site he knew someone over on DistributorcapNY’s site. Well, cap is extremely liberal, but Fulano could not cover his behind.

    You’ve been duped.

    Sorry.

    Maggie (7766c8)

  28. Oh and psssttt…I am no apologist, believe me. After Nancy Conroy and The Gringo Gazette Norte left town(actually were run out of town to the glee of Fulanos(aka Linton, Carlos,Rodrigo, Bob and a host of others) investor friends it was I who was the only one who was reporting the events here.

For doing this, I was called every name in the book by the Baja travel boards who Linton is closely associated with, despite what you might think is him exposing certain members on these boards – no, they are not members, these are characters he has made up. Trying to capitalize on this topic and finally become somewhat current they along wih Fulano tried every means possible to get rid of me, it was Fulano himself who called me paranoid, and initially called me “crazy”. His friends who are investors down here slammed me and started threads on me calling me “Marjorie’s Meltdown”, plus publishing untrue things about me.

It was John Robb who listed me as a link entitled, “Marjorie and the Meltdown in Tijuana” and that was years ago.

Beware. He is abusive, manipulative and he is a farce.
