Our Money is in the Very Best Hands

Remember a while back when Congress passed a law entitled the “________ Act of _________”—meaning they forgot to give a law a name or date?  Well, you might imagine there is nothing worse than that.

But, this one definitely gives it a run for its money.  Recently, the navy put out a solicitation for…  um, you have to see it to believe it:

Well, it’s good to see that they only spend our money after carefully considering the worthiness of the proposal.

Hat Tip: Hot Air.

  1. I was going to say it looked photo shopped since it’s not up anymore, based on the difference between “Whatever it is” and the Solicitation number, but the second group is gray instead of black and the ‘RECOVERY’ label really is fuzzy.

  2. Meaning “Cut Me a Check from the Slush Fund Act.”

  3. I dunno. Being as it comes from any arm of the US military, I’d say it’s properly targeted for the interest and comprehension levels of those who would eventually have to sign it.

  5. Given that it comes out of the naval aviators, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was an internal joke that was inadvertently published. Cheers –

  6. Hehe, I didn’t notice the solicitation number before…. “n00019-11-R-1234“? Take that with the title and the synopsis and somebody hit “publish” when they were showing someone how to use the system. (Not that AT2 Foxfier ever did anything like that…..)

  7. Foxfier is probably right. If you look at this as someone teaching how to use the system, all the entries make sense.

  8. Accidental example publishing. Great cover for a black program. Oh no, I said black, am I racist?
