btw, the real story is that the guy didn’t accidentally mispell it. he did it on purpose because he thought then it would give him plausible deniability. which is actually dumber than if he had just mispelled it.

The pilot couldn’t see the US flag, and it was way off from where it should have been. As soon as the pilot saw the flag, he told his controllers and the attack was aborted. But while we’re on the subject, just what was it doing there? Was it perhaps helping the Egyptians?
