First, via Drudge we get what Legal Insurrection calls the photo of the day:

Ah, that is good stuff.  But for real schadenfreude, its hard to beat this one.  Via The Blaze, we learn that TMZ has footage of Arnold Schwarzenegger getting a parking ticket on his first day out of office.

Yeah, don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Arnie.

  1. Greetings:

Shouldn’t there be some sort of “First Woman Ex-Speaker of the House of Representatives” inauguration ceremony, you know, with lots of kiddies about for decoration?

  2. 11b40

    that is mean.

    I approve.

  3. They should have auctioned off the privilege to remove the sign. The proceeds would have gone a long way towards reducing the national debt.

  4. Let’s hope the change is more than cosmetic.

  5. Great

even if the winning bid was $1 billion dollars, it would not have gone a long way in reducing the debt. it wouldn’t even go a long way toward reducing the rate of increase of our debt.

Which is so depressing i want to go tar and feather some people. (Sorry, its on my mind. i am watching the john adams miniseries on DVD–it was my xmas gift.)

  6. a) I know the depressing numbers

    b) IMHO, we have to get rid of the attitude of
“what’s a billion [or even a million] dollars compared to the whole ball of wax.” What’s the old expression, “Mind the pennies and the dollars take care of themselves…”

    c) or as [I don’t know the accurate attribution anymore, but I think it was Sam Rayburn] once said [adjusted for inflation], “A trillion here, a trillion there, pretty soon you’re talking about real money.”

    great unknown (261470)

  7. great

well, let me be clear, i wasn’t quibbling with the idea. every little bit helps.

Just quibbling with you a bit, that’s all.

  8. Nice to know that Awwnold turned out to be such a huge wussy – next time he tries to star in some action picture as a tough guy, the audience is gonna laugh their asses off.

  9. you call that a quibble. I’ll show you a quibble: I’ve been married!

  10. great unknown….
It was Everett Dirksen, the GOP Sen from IL, and he was using Billions, at a time when the entire budget was less than $100B.

  11. Why do you think he was only in the ‘Expendables’
    for five minutes

  12. Nice to see that Pelosi’s still a narcissistic, graceless, whiny witch.

I’m actually glad she’s decided to stay and watch the carnage unfold over the next few months as her undemocratic legislation is attacked, mocked and ultimately defunded. Payback’s a bitch, Nancy.

  13. Dmac’s link should become its own post. I’m amazed at Pelosi’s self centeredness.

In her mind, the fact the voters didn’t want what she was selling is not relevant. The fact that democrats in less partisan districts lost their seat is not relevant (or at least just the price to pay for Pelosi’s wishlist).

She sees this the way I see paying my tab at the bar. She got what she wanted and is a satisfied customer. At least she’s honest about it, but why in the hell do these people call themselves democratic?

  14. Dustin,
Because NAZI is way too accurate.

  15. Nancy, “here’s your sign”.

    Calvin Dodge (c24b9e)

  16. You just keep that sign in good condition, boys; you’ll be reinstalling it two years from now!
