  1. Well, that’s about 350 days more per year than most government employees actually work.

At least that’s true at the California DMV. What they mostlly do is stand around, drink coffee and gaze at the mile long lines of “customers”.

  2. Oops. She let it slip that she belongs to a remnant of the Dead Sea cult (the one whose famous scrolls were found), which had a 364-day calendar.

  3. But she does it in all 57 states, so that more than compensates.

  4. For the former governor of my former state of residence, every day is full of man-caused disasters.

  5. Heck of a job, Nappy!

  6. She has to screw up so her boss doesn’t look so bad (Re: 57 states). I am so happy she is not our governor anymore.

  7. Somewhere, the 15th – and thought to be least successful President – is rejoicing as his place of ignominy has been superseded by this collection of misfits
(with apologies to Arthur Miller, Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, and the rest of the cast and crew).

  8. Well, as long as “they” don’t figure out the one day they take off we should be fine, right? I just hope they don’t put the date for the DHS summer picnic on facebook….

This is funny to smile at, but i assume she had in the back of her mind that 365 was leap year with others being 364, instead of leap year being 366 and the typical 365.

Funny, but not a serious error such as 57 states, IMO.

  9. well, it’s obvious which day of the week she and the rest of DHS are *NOT* w*rking on……

    today.

  10. Is it just me, or does Janey dress as though she thinks she is Dr Evil?

Just a little thing, I guess.

Of course MD’s right this is not a big deal, and I guess her job is difficult and she should be cut some slack, but she is so terrible at public relations or managing priorities or respecting her role as a public servant.

She has been a complete disaster, and I’m very surprised she’s still in her role. Then again, I’ve been surprised by a lot of things. How did Tenet keep his job for so long, again? It’s interesting that the people who have access to the most secrets and closet skeletons seem to survive incompetence the longest. Just sayin’.

  11. Last year around this time, after a Principals conference, where they knew there was a threat, they went on Vacation.

  12. PatAZ said “She has to screw up so her boss doesn’t look so bad…”. Well that really worked for him didn’t it?

She lost all the goodwill in the world after his first year in her position. First she started out by claiming that there was a grave domestic terrorist threat posed by…returning war veterans. I wanted her arse out the door right after she made that comment, and her behavior since then has been truly horrendous.
