WARNING: DO NOT READ THE LINKED PIECE WHILE DRINKING FLUIDS

We have already had one tragic example of spitting all over one’s keyboard and we don’t need another.

Frank J. Flemming of IMAO says it all in a piece explaining why the Republicans are going to win.  It’s something you understood instinctually but never quite articulated: Republicans Kind of Suck…  Which is Why They Will Win Huge in November.

Also, on related news, Frank runs a group blog called IMAO (In My Arrogant Opinion) and he has recently had a baby.  Er, his wife has.  I am pretty sure his contribution in the whole thing could be scarcely distinguished from a cheerleader’s contribution to winning the homecoming game.  Anyway, cute pictures are here, here and here.  And if you are inclined, you can find out how to send toys and nice stuff to him here.  Or just hit the tipjar.

I mean I doubt blogging pays very much for the guy.  You know the phrase, “don’t quit your day job?”  Well, I haven’t.  Neither has Patterico, Althouse, Instapundit, Legal Insurrection…

  1. One reason I’ve had a hard time mustering much enthusiasm for Republican candidates is the fact that, “Yeah, we suck, but they suck more” isn’t terribly motivating. How credible is “Yeah, we sucked, but they suck more, and if you give us back a majority, we promise we won’t suck lie we did last time”

  2. Think of it this way: Government sucks. We need a government that sucks the least. That’s the GOP. We have already seen what the Democrats can do with power. Let that image motivate you to go to the polls in 13 days.

  4. Diffus #1 – whether or not the individual candidates are less than inspiring or truly inspiring (most often somewhere in-between), the US is a party-based political system – so what a given candidate’s party’s policies and actions/votes have been in the past needs to inform future decisions as to whether to support or oppose …

The candidates are the trees – and the result of overall elections is the ongoing health of the forest … and the Pelosi-tree is WAAAYYYY beyond its sell-by date …

  5. This election cycle must be the beginning of Conservatives exercising their control over the Republican party.

Pandering will only bring miscreants and malcontents into the party, and who needs them?

The left is always whining about the small size of the Republicans’ tent. Ignore them. The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence lays out a big enough tent for everyone.

It’s when the right tries to emulate the freak show left that voters leave the party.

Stay the course. Follow the Constitution. Let the Dems pitch tents — that’s what they’re good at.

  6. Hey Frank’s not just a blogger. He met his wife (another blogger) through his blog. She won his T-Shirt Babe contest. He swears he didn’t sway the vote, the liar.
