Illegal-Immigrant-Hating Liberal Smuggled in Illegal Immigrants

Filed under: Immigration — Patterico @ 10:28 pm

ABC News:

James Lee, the bomb-laden gunman who was killed by police in the lobby of the Discovery Channel, was once convicted and imprisoned for smuggling illegal immigrants into the country from Mexico.

The revelation that Lee had once smuggled illegals contrasts sharply with a hate-filled manifesto he left behind in which he describes illegal immigrants as “disgusting filth” and their children as “anchor baby filth.”

daleyrocks provides the quote and says:

Another do as I say, not as I do liberal hypocrite.

Don’t call him liberal, you traffic-whoring political-posturing butt-f[vowel deleted]cking sonofabitch!

  1. Hey, it had to be said.

  2. Does it make him a hypocrite? Or just a thoroughly evil man, an international people smuggler who hated the people he was smuggling, but was criminally using them to make money?

  3. He’s just taking after the Sierra Club which takes every strident green position except for limiting immigration, both legal and illegal. In the Clinton era it part of what come to be called “compartmentalizing” — the ability to hold two divergent views simultaneously without any shame.

  4. You know, JVW, the Sierra Club made a thoroughly awesome impression on me as a teenager by producing a wonderful treatise on modern backpacking (including, yes, treading lightly, but also equipment selection, orienteering, and even survival skills). It was a wonderful book.

Too bad they didn’t leave it at that.

  5. Off topic tech feedback:

Just so you know, Patterico, there seems to be some kind of WordPress bug with the recently unbanned commenters.

While my comment is appearing, the numerical comment indicator at the top of this post’s comment section doesn’t change: So right now there are 4 comments, 2 of mine, and 2 others. But it still is stuck at “2 comments”.

Likewise in the “Recent Comments” widget at the top right of the site, my comments aren’t showing up.

Thanks for the amnesty (I thought you were opposed to amnesty!) and just thought you should know in case this WordPress behavior causes any confusion, frustration, or what have you to anybody.

  6. James Lee is a good man….

  7. “Compartmentalizing?” George Orwell called it “doublethink.”

  8. False alarm on “tech problem”.

I thought you’d cleared me from the moderation filter and my comments were being published. The reason the counter and sidebar widget didn’t work, of course, is because my comments weren’t automatically published — you must have manually approved the other ones before heading to bed.

Anyway, feel free to not publish this or my prior comment on the nonexistent tech issue.

    Have a good day.

  9. What? Crazy person holds crazy views that make no damned sense? Happens to agree with Algore too?

You’re also going to tell me there’s gambling at Rick’s, right?

It is unfortunate that the left, especially the leftist media, cannot see the forest for the trees, forests and jungles. Does anyone know of a comprehensive list of all the crazy stuff done in the past two years and the political affiliation of the person doing the crazy? I mean like the shooting professor, Carnahan’s office bomber, the census killer and the guy who flew a plane into the IRS in Texas. If there isn’t, I need to put one together. Because as I remember it each and every one of the crazies has been a resident leftist when all the truth is told.

  10. OK, I’ll admit it. I guess I’m a beta-male.

But I do think that the crass language lowers the quality and credibility of an argument. I respect our host very much, and appreciate the window he provides for us non-legal people into a part of the world I don’t see. I just don’t think the bad language is consistent with the values that are normally expressed on this blog.

If you disagree, that’s fine. But then I wonder why bother with the [vowel deleted]. In comments that would be to get past a filter, but in the post there is no filter, right? If you’re going to go there, I guess you might as well go there.

  11. And now to the subject of the post… the first time I saw some of the “manifesto” this nutcase put out, my impression was that he had simply collected a potpourri of liberal rants over the years as they came and went from favor. He’s no more inconsistent than the rest of them – except that he seems to hold all those conflicting ideas at once.

Wouldn’t anybody be crazy if they held all the various apocalyptic global-cooling-world-starvation-overpopulation-pollution-smog-landfill-global-warming-ecodisaster scenarios all at the same time? Then add in all the other left-wing injustice sermons and you’ve got a recipe for a basketcase. Healthy people don’t take them so seriously.

  12. Gesundheit,

I see your point, but the post is mostly in a light vein anyway, and hearing that phrase in my head in Cartman’s voice always makes me laugh. The [vowel deleted] ia a half-concession to folks like yourself, but done in, again, what is intended as a lighthearted fashion.

    Christoph,

I thought I had cleared out everything that kept you in moderation but I clearly failed. I will keep trying.

  13. Perhaps in the case of immigration, Lee soured to the party line after going to jail.

  14. Christoph,

I cleared out a couple more IP addresses and terms. You should be free to comment and have your comments appear immediately. If not, I’ll look at it more tonight.

  15. He was a reichwingnut teabagger incited to violence by the evil hatey violence inciting rhetoric of the teabagger movement.

  16. Just read some of the manifesto he posted on the internet and see for yourself:

The humans? The planet does not need humans.

You MUST KNOW the human population is behind all the pollution and problems in the world, and YET you encourage the exact opposite instead of discouraging human growth and procreation. Surely you MUST ALREADY KNOW this!

Does this sound like the ravings of a sad, deranged loner on the wilder fringes of eco-fascist lunacy? Not to me it doesn’t. Strip away the block capitals and what you have, word for word, is the core manifesto of the entire global green movement.
