He commented on reducing immigration of filthy babies. That’s enough for the liars to say it’s questionable what side’s fringe he’s on.
Of course, it is not. the left is violent and repeatedly told to get in the faces of a ridiculously demonized right wing that want slavery and war and poverty.
I’m surprised these nuts are as rare as they are… and they aren’t so rare.
We know it was a leftist who crashed his plane into the IRS building. We know it was probably a leftist who burned down the Texas Governor’s mansion. We know who wanted to bomb the St Paul convention. We get it.

bilby, that link is one of the most insane things I’ve read in my life. People are complaining that he’s being labeled a “environmentalist” with scare-quotes. A lot of them are bashing some commenter by insisting he doesn’t have an ‘current’ examples of left wing terrorism… while it’s as plain as day that we do.
And what’s really interesting is just how angry and hateful a lot of the comments are at thinkprogress. They know this guy shares a lot more in common with them than his lefty politics.

By coincidence, a lefty relative recently gave me “A World Without Us” to read.
It’s a longing, wistful imagining of a future world without human beings in it, and how quickly the environment would recover once we’re not around.
I sounds like Lee was immersed in this mindset, whether he read this particular book or not.

A while ago (couple months, maybe?), I read a piece by Eugene Robinson about how the extreme Right is full of violence, but not the extreme Left.
I take him at his word. I must therefore conclude that the violence from the Left is not from its fringe, but from its core. To do otherwise would be raaaaacist.

A friend of mine lives two blocks from there. He has children in the local schools, and says:

Yeah, that was a striking element of the thread. They did not want to know what happened. They needed to blame this on the right. And, of course, since it’s obvious this was a hard core lefty, these same folks say it’s wrong to blame this on the left.
These people, at the drop of a hat, were saying how much this proves about Fox News and conservatism and the Tea Party.
