Spy Tale #1Real sex, real kids, but not all were married.

Spy Tale #2Some were better at complaining than spying.

Spy Tale #3One made an interesting connection with an Obama Cabinet official.

Don’t you think Anna Chapman (photo at the links) could be a Bond girl?

  1. Anna Chapman = Honeypot.

  2. I would not want to be a US businessman (or tourist, or student) in Russia right now. They will certainly arrest a few, so they have something to trade to get their people back.

  3. What I find hilarious is the comment by neighbors/associates of the russian spies in cambridge, ma…..”they didn’t see anything different about them”. I’m still, sadly, laughing my head off about that comment.
Cambridge inhabitants seeing nothing different about people dedicated to the demise of the USA….what a hoot!

  6. Yup–just like every other Cambridge elitists–blended right in. They would have blended in as well on the hills just below Grizzly Peak Road in Berkeley or over in Marin County.

  7. A federal complaint suggested the Murphys may never have been married at all – their entire lives, including their daughters, a ruse to cover up their real mission.

Children just a ruse? I see some serious therapy in their future.

  8. Chapman looks bertter as a redhead. Just sayin’.

  9. Okay, Anna Chapman is an attractive lady.

  13. UPDATE:

The 11th suspect, Christopher Metsos, in an alleged Russian spy ring straight out of the Cold War has been busted in Cyprus.

“Knocks” are usually good, it is the “crash” of the battering ram that causes brief moments of madness, and the intervention of the HRT.

  15. Since these folks both illegal aliens and spies against America, will the liberals grant them amnesty and citizenship, or amnesty, citizenship…and a cash bonus?

    Dave Surls (593f85)

  16. “Since these folks both…”

    I meant “ARE both”.

Preview would be my friend, if only I’d let it.

  17. The supposed Russian SVR official, Metsos, made bail, then flew the coop out of Cyprus

  18. To catch him I suppose we’ll have to sub-contract his arrest and extradition to the Mossad.

  19. You mean a Latina journalist, a college prof, and a Dem fundraiser were all communists? Shocka!

BTW I wonder if they had accents. No article says so.

    Patricia (160852)

  20. Yes, there was one group that a few neighbors commented that they thought it strange that they had “Eastern European” accents though they claimed a Mid-West heritage.

  22. Patricia,

I heard on the news that the blonde gal had an accent and upon being questioned by her neighbors where she was from, she claimed Belgium. They bought it. Maybe they had never watched a Bond flick.

  23. The details are fascinating to me. CNS reports that some adopted Canadian identities, including one who took the identity of a Canadian infant named Donald Heathfield who died of crib death in 1963. Guess what Donald was interested in:

U.S. prosecutors have charged Donald Heathfield and 10 other suspects with following orders by Russian intelligence to become “Americanized” enough to infiltrate “policymaking circles” and feed information back to Moscow.

Donald Heathfield worked for a management consulting firm and lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts – home to Harvard and MIT. Prosecutors said in 2004 Heathfield met with an employee of the U.S. government to discuss nuclear weapons research.

  24. She’s kind of like the other russian gal in the “Goldeneye” film, no not Famke Jansen’s character

  25. All in all, though, you’ve got to love capitalism when its all said and done.

  26. Americans are too trusting.

I feel sorry for the kids. Who knows, maybe they’re not really theirs either!
