Cheerleading for Cap and Trade
[Guest post by DRJ]
The Senate Democratic cheerleading squad is hard at work for the American people — including a meeting that was “almost like a little revival – a lot of clapping, a lot of yelling.”
I’m putting the “Government” label on this but this isn’t the way I think government should work. If we’re lucky, someday the Student Council kids will be in charge instead of the cheerleaders.

Crap, 2011 is going to be an economic disaster. Back to the sporting goods shop for more MRE’s and ammo ….
SPQR (26be8b) — 6/24/2010 @ 5:03 pmMeanwhile, the author of a study conclusively showing that Spain’s green jobs program has been an unmitigated economic disaster receives a package in the mail with a dismantled bomb in it.
daleyrocks (1d0d98) — 6/24/2010 @ 5:20 pmdaleyrocks, that’s not the most astonishing part of that story. The faux “green” company that sent it to him admitted it.
Real brazen corporate terror – and of course its left wing.
SPQR (26be8b) — 6/24/2010 @ 5:29 pm“I you see one movie this year, make it Sex and the City 2.” – Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ)
GeneralMalaise (c2b11b) — 6/24/2010 @ 5:33 pmSPQR – I know. Why admit it? Nobody claims the left is smart except themselves.
daleyrocks (1d0d98) — 6/24/2010 @ 5:38 pmThere is no chance that a Cap and Trade bill will pass. You might think that the worst Congress ever would be content to keep wasting everyone else’s money but no, they also have to waste everyone’s time.
Pasadena Phil (7bc659) — 6/24/2010 @ 6:36 pmWhich could be why Democrats are doing unpopular things this year….so the Republicans will get elected and stuck with the blame.
The economy is a game of political hot potato
Some chump (e84e27) — 6/24/2010 @ 6:42 pmPasadena Phil –
Some lousy shenanigans will be done with this legislation once this majority becomes the Lame Duck majority. They’ll have nothing to lose. And there will be willing accomplices in progressive Rs to help.
Watch out.
Richbert (38156a) — 6/24/2010 @ 7:06 pmLet’s just ban the Industrial Revolution.
Patricia (160852) — 6/24/2010 @ 8:19 pmThe lame duck session will be the most dangerous two months in American history. Think of Saddam Hussein setting the Kuwaiti oil wells on fire as he retreated.
The DISCLOSE Act is the battle right now. The other stuff will come up after the election, along with the budget.
Mike K (82f374) — 6/25/2010 @ 5:46 am> someday the Student Council kids will be in charge instead of the cheerleaders.
THOSE pompous, self-important jackasses?
I’d rather see a lottery picking mechanism put people in charge….
