Whoa! That’s too much scoring for me, the excitement is overwhelming …
SPQR (26be8b) — 6/23/2010 @ 8:20 pmOkay, I am starting to enjoy soccer, at least at the World Cup level. I actually jumped out of my chair when we finally put the ball in the net (again) and I may have uttered some words that would get me filtered when that ref screwed up and called offsides on our other goal. We could easily be in the Round of 8.
JD (23a165) — 6/23/2010 @ 8:35 pmYes!!! GOAL !!!!!! Go USA!!!
Doug (3ec68d) — 6/23/2010 @ 8:39 pmI think there would be less fake injuries if people got hurt for real.
Just say’in.
BradnSA (24ba37) — 6/23/2010 @ 8:48 pmThe fake injuries are going to remain as a major stumbling block to me becoming a true fan.
JD (23a165) — 6/23/2010 @ 8:49 pmyou can drill for oils off the coast of Algeria they’re not gay
happyfeet (19c1da) — 6/23/2010 @ 8:51 pmNow that was funny
JD (23a165) — 6/23/2010 @ 8:56 pmSadly, it’s just not magical for me yet.
DRJ (d43dcd) — 6/23/2010 @ 8:57 pmDo you believe in slightly improbable outcomes? Yes!
Skip (ab3117) — 6/23/2010 @ 8:57 pmhttp://www.theonion.com/video/soccer-officially-announces-it-is-gay,17603/
BradnSA (24ba37) — 6/23/2010 @ 9:00 pmOkay, The Onion is almost as funny as happyfeet.
JD (23a165) — 6/23/2010 @ 9:01 pmDRJ needs one more goal after 120 or 180 more minutes of play to feel the magic.
SPQR (26be8b) — 6/23/2010 @ 9:02 pmThey needed to go into “overtime” (stoppage time) to score their first goal against Algeria? To me, that’s not really a good sign.
Sam (bb5352) — 6/23/2010 @ 10:53 pmstolen from AoSHQ:
there are about 8 pages more of knowledge i can put you, if you want it.
redc1c4 (fb8750) — 6/23/2010 @ 11:18 pmSam: England scored 0 goals on Algerai, stoppage time or not 🙂
We scored early, ref blew the call; so we had to score (again) late
Lord Nazh (821ae1) — 6/23/2010 @ 11:52 pmAlgeria even o.O
Lord Nazh (821ae1) — 6/23/2010 @ 11:53 pm“I” before “A” except when they’re gay, Lord Nazh.
And they aren’t, as you can drill for oils off the coast of Algerai.
Dustin (b54cdc) — 6/23/2010 @ 11:57 pmNow that’s funny, I don’t care who you are…
until JD calls us racist/homophobes of course.
Lord Nazh (821ae1) — 6/24/2010 @ 12:13 amsoccer is for girls.
redc1c4 (fb8750) — 6/24/2010 @ 12:40 amWatched some of the 2nd half on replay last night. Great game on both sides. Give them credit for playing hard. Algeria was a tough out.
JEA (dffa7e) — 6/24/2010 @ 5:01 ami liked someone’s comment last night on TV. I’ll try to paraphrase it as best as possible:
“Yes, i watched the highlight. Yes, singular highlight. there is literally nothing else worth watching in the game, than the goal itself.”
sorry, even if we are champions, i will won’t care about metric football.
Aaron Worthing (e7d72e) — 6/24/2010 @ 6:14 amAll I want is for Maradona to lose. I don’t care who does it. He is the dirtiest person in the history of soccer.
nk (f9ce34) — 6/24/2010 @ 7:59 amSenoritas that play soccer
