[Guest post by DRJ]
Bloomberg News reports White House Budget Director Peter Orszag plans to leave the Obama Administration in July, before the fall budget cycle.
I wouldn’t want to deal with that deficit either.

DRJ (d43dcd) — 6/21/2010 @ 11:44 pmThey’ve decided not to even propose a budget for the year, so there isn’t really any work for him to do, is there?

you don’t need a budget if all you’re doing it writing checks…. you just need checks.

Again, another Propeller Head with no real world experience beyond taking Government Money and going to elitist NE schools. Phillips Exeter and Princeton with ZERO private sector experience.
HeavenSent (a9126d) — 6/22/2010 @ 4:22 amHeh, I kinda imagine the key administration people are at the point of drawing straws to see who gets to leave first. Of course his upcoming nuptials to a business/financial reporter were bound to cause him some conflict of interest issues as well had he stayed in his political job. He’ll be happier in a think tank where the theoretical rubber does not have to meet the actual road, I’m sure.

ian cormac (38cac7) — 6/22/2010 @ 5:05 amQuite a hack in this administration, the hackiest of the hack, you could say. Wonder what the only honest man left (Elmendorf) thinks about this – “looks like I’m the next one under the bus.”

Funny, that problem never bothered the Chairman of the Fed?

Damn! I’m interested in resolving a conflict with that!
Icy Texan (092752) — 6/22/2010 @ 11:23 amI don’t know how to respond to the heavy breathing for Bianna or to the valid point about Andrea Mitchell (which in many cases indeed was a conflict). So, I just won’t say anything about this any more.

Seriously, elissa, what conflict of interest? and on whose part, his or hers? When did Andrea Mitchell EVER report on the Federal Reserve? and refer to “Chairman Greenspan” without acknowledging that he is her husband?
Never, as far as I know; that’s when.
