Free Speech at the White House
[Guest post by DRJ]
“There was some rich irony at the White House today — President Obama signed the Press Freedom Act, and then promptly refused to take any questions.”
Will the media wake up first or the people?

He mentioned Daniel Pearl but avoided mentioning who killed him. Gutless.

The MEEEDIA???
Only ‘restin’?
It’s passed on! This media is no more! It has ceased to be! It’s expired and gone to meet its maker! It’s a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed it to the Anchor table, it’d be pushing up the daisies! It’s metabolic processes are now ‘istory! It’s off the twig! It’s kicked the bucket, it’s shuffled off this mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-MEDIA!!
😛
But… Beautiful Plumage…

Mr. Pink (e29921) — 5/18/2010 @ 5:34 amThe press will NOT wake up, because to do so would be to admit they were co-conspirators and they WILL NOT do that.
GM Roper (a0b04a) — 5/18/2010 @ 6:38 amI don’t see the irony. The press is pretty much free to write whatever it wants. Doesn’t mean I have to talk to them.
Dave Surls (985699) — 5/18/2010 @ 8:49 amGutless indeed. He must work for Comedy Central.
Vivian Louise (eeeb3a) — 5/18/2010 @ 10:24 amYou are correct, Surls, but sometimes appearance matters.
Icy Texan (494e8c) — 5/18/2010 @ 12:23 pmAn aside. Is the web site being weird today? When I am on the home page, it states there is a comment on this thread by Icy Texan. When I look at this thread, no such post.
So, is the site having problems, or is Rod Serling in control of my computer??
MD in Philly (ea3785) — 5/18/2010 @ 12:29 pmfairly certain its the page: i had a comment on the auntie thread, and now its gone.
either the page is tarfu or i’m being thrown under the bus. %-)

Will the media wake up first or the people?
Is that a trick question? The people, of course. Indeed, even most of those who haven’t seen the reality are usually stuck there because they still get their news solely from the MSM.
IgotBupkis,
I believe the correct phraseology is that “the MSM are in stable condition.” So too, for that matter, is Lenin.

As of this moment I’ve figured out I can post and see what I posted before when I’m using FireFox, but when I’m on IE, whenever I go off of the home page, whatever thread I go to appears as I last saw it hours ago, and the “Recent Comments” in the upper right is as it was this am, as opposed to it being updated on the home page.
Hmmm
MD in Philly (ea3785) — 5/18/2010 @ 1:45 pmNow I can’t get the thread in real time again in Mozilla, and what I saw 2 minutes ago I can’t find.
Internet neutrality has begun, aaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!
