Obsessed with the Tea Party (Updated)

Now! Hampshire claims former New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Kathy Sullivan is obsessed with the Tea Party:
“Former Democratic State Party Chairman Kathy Sullivan is heading up the search, the source said. Sullivan has been calling and e-mailing liberal activists trying to get them to attend tea parties in different parts of the state and hold signs denying the authenticity of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate and make racially disparaging comments to reporters.
“This is Kathy’s [Sullivan] project,” the source told NowHampshire.com. “She is absolutely obsessed with painting the tea party people as racists.”
Similar “crash the tea party” efforts are taking place throughout the country on Tax Day.”
“Is this the best you Democrats can do? If you think about it for a second, if Tea Partiers were the racists they’re being portrayed as, then why would these sneaky Democrats have to bus people in to pretend to be racist Tea Partiers? Taken further, why would Democrats know how to be “racist”? Does it just come natural to them?”
If Democrats think Republicans are the ‘Party of No’ for objecting to Obama’s health care reforms and record deficits, what does this make Democrats — the OCD Party?

UPDATE 4/15/2010 — Sullivan says the story is a hoax:
“Former state Democratic Party chair Kathy Sullivan, named in the Now Hampshire post as the instigator of the infiltration plan — which was tied to her in the post by a source “who sought anonymity for fear of reprisals” — categorically rejected the claims on the blog.
“This website has made this up,” she told me. “It’s a total fabrication.”
Sullivan not only said that she had not called for progressives to storm tomorrow’s tea party rallies, she also condemned the idea of anyone trying to distupt a tea party rally as undemocratic.
“I think it’s a bad idea to infiltrate these rallies,” she said. “I would defend to the death the right of anyone to express their free speech.”
Now! Hampshire should back up its claim or retract. Until that happens, I assume this story isn’t true.

The combination of medical marijuana and blind ideology for the “Obama Messiah” make for a potent, toxic brew of desperation. Apparently they are still channeling BHO’s lecture to the elites regarding gun loving, Bible thumping, anti-immigration knuckle-draggers living in the hinterlands.
Blind ambition will be their downfall in 2010. It is time for the rest of us to begin preparing for whatever comes after the hollow excuse “Blame Bush” for everything mantra. They won’t blame themselves or their failed cause. My prediction is they will blame the “financial/insurance /medical complex (Remember the military/industrial complex?) We will counter with the liberral media/political complex we are now witnessing in it’s final stage of self-destruction.
Hopefully, this will be the death knell for hippies, yippies, and the yapping dogs of the 60′s who will finally tuneout once and for all.

Though these people may feel morally justified in using any means to falsely brand their opposition as racist – it seems that the cost to society that comes from the perpetuation of bigotry is far greater than that which comes from perpetuating a platform for limited government.
The reliance by the left on this brand of consequentialism may explain their behavior. But it really does point to something more reprehensible. A rational actor would see the negative net effect of perpetuating racism and chose a different form of action to counter their opposition. So, either none of these “crash the tea party” folks are rational – or, as more and more currents events seem to indicate, they really are the ones with the propensity for bigotry.

It is an odd little kabuki, this Tea Party infiltration thing:
The “Tea Baggers” are racist, homophobic conspiracy nuts and we’ll prove it by going to their rallies and pretend to be racist, homophobic conspiracy nuts and that will show ‘em for what they are.
It’s a plan, I guess. Doesn’t seem to be a good plan, but whatever. Hobbies are good. Keeps ‘em off the internet for awhile.

The behavior of many tea parties that have sprung up is leaving the democrats with a cold feeling – unfortunately a goodly number of these organizations are very vocal and magnify the attention and distortions they are getting
Let the dems focus on the tea party – its just another small handfull of seats swinging again – all we need is one house of congress -

ian, the Massachusetts lefties did it by moving there from a more populous neighboring state just like the Cali lefties have invaded Nevada and shifted that formerly fairly conservative state to the left. That IS where that two-bit idiot fathead Reid is from.
