Spring Forward 2010
[Guest post by DRJ]
It’s Daylight Savings Time again. Don’t forget to spring forward at 2:00 A.M. Sunday, except for those in Hawaii, most of Arizona, and a few others. Still confused? The U.S. Naval Observatory has the official time.

I just got back from AZ so I’m living on Arizona time and my clock is right.
Most of Arizona does not change. This way it cools off sooner in the summer. All the parks have lights so they must like the night.
Now if you are in the Navajo Reservation you do spring forward. The Navajos hug the New Mexico border so this makes sense too.
But then there are the Hopi who live in their own reservation inside the one the Navajo have and the Hopi stick with AZ and don’t spring forward.
Confused? Don’t worry, be Hopi!

I’m only confused as to why we’re still doing daylight savings time.
Everything else is handled by 1) the network; or 2) the push of a button.
But thanks for the reminder!

My computer and alarm clock set their own time.

Dead nuts to the U.S. Naval Observatory.
Kinda magic.

Better Half changed all the clocks and watches. I could not figure out why I did not feel rested when I woke, figured it was lack of sleep.

Our border collie decided to be antsy for several hours before settling down to sleep. Hope we do some lively hymns at church…
