California Democratic Representative Pete Stark was forced out as Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee after only one day. The report says he will be replaced by Michigan’s Sander Levin.

  1. Couldn’t happen to a bigger jerk. Little Lord Fortney – as he’s known to us conservatives in NorCal – is one of the most dull-witted louts EVER to hold office.

  5. My God, Nancy Pelosi is tone-deaf and stupid. First, she tries to shoehorn the late Jack Murtha in as majority leader, despite questions about his ethics and demeanor, now this whole Pete Stark thing. Each time she has to back down almost immediately, so she takes the political hit and yet still does not get the person she wants.

    I think any Republican running against a Democrat incumbent (or in an open seat) in a competitive district should have one clear message: A vote for [the Democrat] is a vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. Force all these Blue Dogs to vow that they will not vote to retain Peolsi should Democrats keep the House.

  6. I agree with you JVW, but they have learned from obama that they can promise the moon but they never have to deliver. The “media” needs to hold their feet to the flame–they won’t–so it’s up to the internet………..as long as we have it..

  7. What could they have been thinking, putting a loon like Stark in a role where he’d get lots of national attention. Or does Nancy think it’s a good that she has good from being almost unknown outside CA to being hated nationally, even by her own side?
