Patterico's Pontifications

Patterico on “The Stage Right Show” Tonight

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 8:12 pm

It’s a Blog Talk Radio show run by Larry O’Connor, the excellent contributor to several of Andrew Breitbart’s sites. Larry did the heavy lifting on the unraveling of Max Blumenthal’s recent smear piece on James O’Keefe.

I’ll be on at 10 p.m. PST, following on the heels of Brad Friedman of the “Brad Blog,” who goes on at 9 p.m.

Based on what we’ve seen from Friedman’s blog lately, you’re likely to get about one hour of Friedman’s nonsense and misrepresentations, and one hour of me trying to clean them up.

Listen live online here, and feel free to call in at 347-850-1946.

UPDATE: The same link has an archived version of the show. Also, it can be accessed on iTunes.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you’re a leftist), my phone’s sound was terrible and it’s very hard to hear what I’m saying. However, I did get Brad Friedman to admit that — notwithstanding his disingenuous calls for the unedited video — he has never bothered to listen to the full unedited audio that has been available for months. In addition, he admitted that he was completely unaware that there is a Philly video that disproves the ACORN claims that they were never told that Giles was a prostitute.

In short, Brad Friedman doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He doesn’t know anything about this scandal. He doesn’t even know that O’Keefe represented himself as a pimp to ACORN employees. He doesn’t understand the scandal; he doesn’t know the facts; and he’s really nothing more than a clueless blowhard.

I hope you were able to glean that from the audio.

UPDATE x2: Listening to the podcast, I hear that Friedman saved his worst (and most dishonest) shots on me until after I left. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. He was on with me for, what, 40 minutes? and didn’t lay a glove on me. I shoved every argument he made right down his throat.

So why not wait until I’m off the phone to take your best shot?

Quote of the day: “I don’t have a partisan agenda here.”

  1. Bonus points if you call Brad a mendoucheous twatwaffle on the air.

    JD (1f5216)

  2. The phone number is there if you wish to try. They might be slow with the buzzer.

I think Marcy would appreciate it.

    Patterico (c218bd)

  3. If I call in early, what would you guys like me to ask Friedman?

    Patterico (c218bd)

  4. It’s started! Is everyone listening?

    Patterico (c218bd)

  5. Ask Friedman why he hates the truth.

    JD (1f5216)

  6. Friedman is douchenozzle. Deflect, deflect, deflect!

    daleyrocks (718861)

  7. Its Technically not a salary….

Andrew is losing this thing badly

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  8. Andrews,

“Its about the sickest thing in the world”

    I agree

Brads scoring some points – this is a simple shut and closed case and Andrew is blowing it.

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  9. Andrew,

“Its about the sickest thing in the world”

    I agree

Brads scoring some points – this is a simple shut and closed case and Andrew is blowing it.

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  10. Did Breitbart get indicted yet? O’Keefe?

    JD (61528e)

  11. now the revenue thing is making that guy Larry not look to good

The Technical salary, the dressed like a pimp controversy, uuuuuugggghhhh

This is not a brilliant conversation

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  12. JD

    we’ll know in 30 days maybe 27

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  13. Anyone else feel one of those epic EPWJ meltdowns coming on?

    JD (61528e)

  14. JD

again, you with the fiction, I am not anti Okeefe, Breitbart, but this guy is a dumbass and he’s literally cleaning up the floor with Breitbart and I can only imagine what a highly motivated and successful US attorney with the law on her side and family ties to the victim (using term super loosely here πŸ™‚ ) is going to do with a guy who really thinks he’s the smartest person in the room.

I know I’m the dumbest one in this room, but then again I dont have to be preparing for a possible indictment either

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  15. I made no assertion, no statement of fact, nothing that could even be loosely defined as fiction. On this topic, your history is well known.

    JD (61528e)

  16. JD

You are the fiction master! I bow to your superior skills!

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  17. I humbly submitt to your blognessess

it still doesnt get Okeefe out of a jam

though, but I’m sure the US Attorney will consult you shortly πŸ™‚

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  18. Brad,

Just won the argument – Pats not even getting a chance

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  19. Pardon me if I do not rely on your unreliable assessment.

    JD (f8eae0)

  20. Now Patterico is owning Brad – see this is my point that Andrew is not capable of arguing or testifying if called

Andrew needs to shut up hire a good attorney like Patrick and then go forward

Andrew gets tripped up even when he has all the facts

In the case of the Federal Building they dont have as much to stand on

    thats my point

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  21. JD

Yeah, I forgot that people are not allowed to comment on commentary blogs – from now on I’ll email you for the “proper” talking points

    I regret the error

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  22. Patterico is scoring blows left and right

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  23. Good Allah, you are as bad as the trolls. Nothing I wrote even suggested that you need my permission to comment, or even that you should not comment. I just noted that on this topic, we know what to expect from you.

    JD (f8eae0)

  24. JD

    I’m sorry – I should have known to ask – I’ll be better…..

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  25. I just want to be “reliable” JD. thats all πŸ™‚

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  26. This whole thing is why you dont argue with liberals

Andrew did get backed into a corner about the videos though

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  27. Brad is completely full of it. Harshbarger did not even talk to the employees who talked to O’Keefe and Giles – deliberately because he claimed he could not offer them immunity or confidentiality.

The CRS report he cites mentions multiple pages of ongoing investigations which Brad ignores.

    daleyrocks (718861)

  28. EricPW – It sounds like you know about as much about this stuff as Brad Friedman. Congrats.

    daleyrocks (718861)

  29. The great theater comment by Pat was devasting

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  30. Daleyrocks

Go out of anti-troll mode for a minute – then start right back into me…

Andrew – with all the evidence he had about ACORN – and its overwhelming – and its devasting

IS LOSING BADLY to a boob on a blog – gee what are his chances against an experienced US Attorney in front of 12 numbnuts who’s opinion at the end of the trial is all that matters –

Shouldnt be talking – Pat is cleaning the floor up with the guy – Breitbart isnt and needs to have good attorneys making sure he doesnt say anything that these assholes can use against him

    OKeefe as well….

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  31. Thats my point

And I apologize for not getting staff approval from JD and associates for reliability content in advance πŸ™‚

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  32. Well, there’s an hour of my life gone forever.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a lawyer & have to argue in front of someone who ignores stuff that contradicts an assertion.

I mean, what does it matter what O’Keefe was wearing? Where is the outrage over what happened right here?

The attempts at deflection were great – Blackwater! Pimpoutfits! NYTimes! Release the Videos!

But really – is the assertion that because O’Keefe might have been dressed like a pimp (whatever that is) that ACORN was just fine with child prostitution? That’s the argument?

    Because that is, like, weak.

I really don’t see how Breitbart was slammed. He was obviously on a weak connection and hard to get his voice in edgewise. Brad is used to just talking over opponents. Good for him. Maybe he can get Olberman’s job when he’s sacked.

    steve miller (ca20cc)

  33. EricPW – Remind me why you think Breitbart needs an attorney.

    daleyrocks (718861)

  34. EricPW – Brad basically made the same crappy argument for 1:45 minutes and there was nothing to it. Talking over the other participants like Greenwald does not constitute winning an argument in my book. If you were impressed, good for you.

    daleyrocks (718861)

  35. daleyrocks

Just asking that question answers all of my lingering questions

    thanks…

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  36. 34

Yes he did, however Andrew – did not sound convincing (here we go with the troll issues) when he was not posting the videos.

But I got to go – feel free to go back into anti-troll mode now – fire away – I deserve it!

Must learn to contain basic logic and elementary understanding of simple things…..

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  37. Brad is a loud mouthed boob and a bore – and an ass –

Andrew didnt do well against him. Pat cleaned the floor up with him – when we could here the guy

Andrew needs to have people like pat beat the figurative legal crap out of people like Brad or Maselli-Mann

Andrew and OKeefe have this right on their side thingy that they think would carry the day and protect them from evil. Hey so did Libby

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  38. Well, that was more shouting than I have ever had to do on a radio show. But it was cathartic in a way, and that was nice.

    Patterico (c218bd)

  39. It’s difficult to make your own points and also respond to what others are saying in such a free-wheeling debate, but you managed to do it.

    DRJ (6a8003)

  40. I thought it was rather telling that Friedman a) had no idea there was an ACORN video from Philly, and b) despite his pretense of wanting unedited video, admitted that he never listened to the full unedited audio (after having implied several times that he had).

    Patterico (c218bd)

  41. “Just asking that question answers all of my lingering questions”

EricPW – Just answer it instead of dodging it like Brad Friedman.

I hope it has something to do with your emloyer/employee theories you were expounding on.

    daleyrocks (718861)

  42. Patterico – I really couldn’t hear much of what you had to say – too many voices and yours was the lowest volume the way I was tuned in.

    daleyrocks (718861)

  43. My damn cell phone, daley. Too bad. I tried to shout and amplify — I even had my hand cupped around the mouthpiece much of the time — but sounds like the sound produced by my phone was inadequate.

    Patterico (c218bd)

  44. Dammit. Could you at least hear where I made Friedman admit that he never listened to the unedited audio?

    Patterico (c218bd)

  45. Daley

I think the statement stands very well on its own.

Nice try to make me into Brad though πŸ™‚

    EricPWJohnson (a8ea04)

  46. I’m listening to the podcast. I think you can hear the guy on the PA at Andrew’s airport, telling him to get on the plane, better than you can hear me.

    Sigh.

    Patterico (c218bd)

  47. I think PBJ needs to get himself some serious counseling – worst case of obession since Ahab.

    Dmac (799abd)

  48. “obsession”
