150-200K Deaths in Haiti

The man in charge of America’s military relief efforts in Haiti, Lt.Gen. P.K. Keen, commented on how many people have died as a result of the Haitian earthquake:
“As the numbers of dead and injured in Haiti continue to climb, Lt. General P.K. Keen, the man charge of military relief efforts there says, “we are going to have to be prepared for the worst”. When I asked General Keen about death toll estimates ranging between 150,000 and 200,000 people, Keen said, “I think the international community is looking at those figures, and I think that’s a start point.”
President Obama has named former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush to raise funds for Haitian relief. The former Presidents have established a website to collect donations for this cause.

And so many of them have died or will die a slow,painful death because help cannot reach them. One feels so helpless knowing the media can get to people but the doctors and troops can’t.
The best so many of us can do after making a donation is pray.

You call others hacks and then ask them to produce personal financial data on our president. If you (PCD) can produce Obama’s December Visa card statement and post it on this site then I will assume the data can be obtained, then we can ask Imdw to produce his evidence. Otherwise you can STFU.

According to the CIA World Factbook, Haiti’s population is 9,035,536.
If the 200K figure is right, that’s 2.2% of the population. If the 150K figure is right, it’s still 1.6% of the country’s population.
Imagine if a single event took out 4.8 million Americans.

I’m not generally concerned about any person’s level of personal giving. However I am annoyed at people who argue that one shouldn’t give, or even that boast of not giving. Silence or lack of proof of giving don’t bother me.
