Great to read your annual pummeling of the Times, and you were right to spotlight Rainey and his anti-conservative bias. But one update: He did devote a recent column to pointing out MSNBC’s bias in news coverage. Maybe he saw the Patterico year-end hit coming.

A credible list. Could have also added the LAT articles about a threat to California’s ports due to sea levels rising because of global warming.

The LAT article quoted state officials regarding the alleged threat, but no one checked the NOAA tide station data for Los Angeles or San Francisco. The sea level measurements have actually declined since the 1990s!

At the least, the LAT could have asked someone why the tide station readings, which are consistent with general observations of coastal conditions, weren’t cited as evidence of a minimal threat from sea level increases.
