In Case You Were Worried About Whether Roman Polanski Is Comfortable . . .

Filed under: General — Patterico @ 4:19 pm

. . . let me set your mind at ease.

The child rapist is in “full comfort” at his Swiss chalet.

I know I’m breathing easier.

  1. This post is like a dog whistle for Jeff “the Pecker Checker” Norman.

  2. Daley, he and “jeffbuttler” are a little busy right now with cleaning their chicken costumes thoroughly and offending people on the street with “edgy” language. Or hanging out at Burger King.

  3. Ultimate Justice, beyond anything or any type of human Justice we can impose upon Polanski, or not impose as the facts play out, will be meeted out by our Divine Creator and Mr. Polanski will pay for his sins, as all of us will. God has a plan and it’s always right, even if we can’t see it, remember, we’re only imperfect humans. Although, in my mind Polanski is a scumbag that does not deserve the attention he is getting.

    Patterico (424a94)

  5. Patterico – He’s got an interesting legal defense for David Letterman’s blackmailer. I’m not sure he could convince a lawyer with a bar license to try it in court, though.

    daleyrocks (718861)

  6. The sad truth is that “full comfort” is only a distant memory for any man Polanski’s age.

He actually suggested a regular guest spot for himself in the other thread, along with his suggested screen nick “King of Accuracy.” The PP regulars had some additional suggestions for him, as you may imagine, so I think you should get final say on his sick (<—-um, actual Freudian typo, no kidding) nick.

  9. Any word if he is doing any babysitting at the chalet? I wonder how many of his supporters would leave their daughters in his care?

IMO it would quite literally depend on whether “the cinematic genius” would have use for them in his next film.

I love how he’s so overwhelmed by the support he’s hearing about. Is he too stupid, or only too narcissistic, to realize that all the critical mail is being kept out of his sight?

    no one you know (196ed7)

  13. Roman has gone through a lot in his life. I know what that’s like. I also know what it’s like to have the media hounding you all the time for minor things. He deserves his privacy.

The maggots that are his supporters would be downright honoured to have their daughters assraped by such a cinematic genius.

Jeff Norman was not defending Polansky, and does not condone unlawful sex, he just does not think drugging and then assraping a child against her expressed protestations is rape. Plus, he likey Scott Ritter. Ewww.

  32. C’mon you guys. Give Roman the rapist SOME credit for looking out for the best interests of a child. He knew getting pregnant could really mess up a 13-year-old’s life. So after inquiring about her last period and finding out she wasn’t on birth control he considerately switched from vaginal to anal sex. What a gentleman!

  33. Polanski Lawyer Says Client Will Face Only One Charge if He Returns to LA
Just because a lot of pathetic people need to dwell on the director’s supposed indecency to make themselves feel decent in comparison, doesn’t mean that normal evidentiary standards should be abandoned in the Polanski matter. Full story here

Contains previously undisclosed info Beldar missed. But that’s a high jump over a low hurdle.

Beldar the underachiever: “And it doesn’t answer my question about whether Polanski is still subject to prosecution for escape…”

The California Penal Code answers it, and it’s easily accessible online, genius. I found it in two minutes. How long will it take Patterico’s pugnacious poster from Texas?

  37. Missed meds are no joke Norman. Seroquel, Ativan, Estrogen, and Rogaine are a tricky combination. You should be more careful before commenting anywhere.

    Stashiu3 (44da70)

  38. Insert the sound that Beaker made. You would think that Mr. Norman would get back to, well, you know, renewing his avian proclivities.

  39. Has Polanski given any testimony under oath on this matter other than at his plea hearing?

    daleyrocks (718861)

  40. Patterico: “Maybe I should offer him a guest spot if he gets this comment thread to 1000.”

P, no interest in quality as well as quantity?

I’m the first person to address the significance of the extradition treaty, and to get a solid source confirming that unlawful sexual intercourse is the only charge specified in the extradition request. In other words, I’m the only one to say anything illuminating as to what Polanski would actually face if he’s extradited. Also, my new post at HuffPo explains why he’s not likely to be charged for fleeing. If those aren’t issues of interest, why have y’all been discussing them?

Your excuse is you work for Cooley. What excuse do the other lawyer bloggers have for failing to uncover what I uncovered?

    Jeff Norman (7f6dbc)

  41. daleyrocks: “Has Polanski given any testimony under oath on this matter other than at his plea hearing?”

    No

  42. Norman,

Don’t bring up Patterico’s job in any negative manner, period. It’s off limits and not up for discussion.

    Stashiu3 (44da70)

  43. Just laugh at this little pervy version of Beaker. I mean, look at his body of work! And yet he sneers like Wally Cox (only less manly) at others.

Only one thing to say, and I hope that everyone keeps this tune in mind each and every time this bit of human toilet film posts:

  44. Oh, and given your association with Mr. Ritter, I really wouldn’t write:

    “…to uncover what I uncovered…”

    TMI, Mr. Norman. TMI.

    Eric Blair (ddbceb)

  45. “daleyrocks: “Has Polanski given any testimony under oath on this matter other than at his plea hearing?”

    No”

Exactly, everything he has said outside that hearing on the matter must be considered self-serving bullshit. Why the Jeff and Jack show thinks otherwise is a complete mystery.

    daleyrocks (718861)

  46. Stashiu3: “Don’t bring up Patterico’s job in any negative manner, period. It’s off limits and not up for discussion.”

Negative? To me it’s just a fact he’s not comfortable disclosing info about the case. But thanks for the command, boss.

The rules and priorities here are hilarious.

  49. Night Train or Zima are fueling this guy’s posts. Dmac or NOYK or JD, which do you think is responsible for Mr. Norman’s “feelin’ like chicken tonight”?

Remember, despite his “comedy” background, the mud wrestling Chris Elliott Truther does not like to be laughed at.

    Eric Blair (fe64d8)

  50. Cluck off, Norman.

    JD (a030d3)

  53. “I’m the first person to address the significance………”

    Blah, blah, blah, blah!

Jeff Norman – We are not worthy, no America is not worthy, of your mad legal analytical skilz and insights into differences between the age of consent in Europe and the US. Is it wrong for 43 year old men to have sex with 13 year old girls? Apparently you do not think so as long as it is legal. That’s really what this is all about, isn’t it, Jeff?

Awesome. Almost lost it laughing. “Mr. Succulence” just took on a whole new meaning.

Okay, we shouldn’t gang up on Mr. Norman. Am beginning to feel a bit sorry for him. He deserves a fair glimpse at how his elevated legal mind works.

Here you go; Mr. Norman’s thought processes in action (**WARNING: DEFINITELY NSFW**). Don’t miss 3:00-3:30 (if you’re not at work) to see how women on the street react to being accosted by this brilliant legal mind.

Oh, and Mr. Norman? You’re welcome.

    no one you know (1ebbb1)

  55. “… as to what Polanski would actually face if he’s extradited…”

Yes, it would be completely unprecendented for the prosecution to file, or reinstate, additional charges once Mr.Polanski actually parks his @$$ at a defendant’s table.

Just how, Mr. Norman, do you relieve yourself with your head plugging your colon?

    AD - RtR/OS! (bc0d93)

  56. “Just how, Mr. Norman, do you relieve yourself with your head plugging your colon?”

AD – Simple. He just squeezes his head.

  57. AD: “Yes, it would be completely unprecendented for the prosecution to file, or reinstate, additional charges once Mr.Polanski actually parks his @$$ at a defendant’s table.”

As I explained in my article (and as Beldar the underachiever overlooked), what you suggest would violate our treaty with Switzerland. I wouldn’t assume the DA is that lawless. If you do, tell it to Patterico.

    Jeff Norman (7f6dbc)

  58. Do the Super Killer dance, Chubbsy Ubbsy! I know you want to.

    John Hitchcock (3fd153)

  59. And, Chubbsy Ubbsy, you were also warned about certain things. Seems you’re “too good” to worry about little things like rules and stuff.

    John Hitchcock (3fd153)

  60. Can anyone explain to me the poor quality of law school graduates now days? From The Dithering Idiot Obama to Cyrus and Norman, no wonder the average Joe Six-Pack think the courts are crooked.

    PCD (1d8b6d)

  61. PCD,
Thanks for linking; wouldn’t have seen that.

Love these two quotes from the article:

Silly question, I know, but might guilt be determined by Polanski’s … guilty plea?

    and

[For those on the left,] trashing those outraged by child rape is morally superior to being outraged by child rape.

    no one you know (196ed7)

  62. I still wanna see Chubbsy Ubbsy eat a party-sized order of Super Killers and chase it down with a medium-sized Diet Pepsi. If someone made a video of that, “I’d buy that for a dollar.”

    John Hitchcock (3fd153)

  63. I’m assuming this has already been written here, but it does explain things

“Rape is such a harsh word – why not call it surprise sex?”

    SteveG (909b57)

  64. Hey, I hope that someone has alerted Big Hollywood to Mr. Norman’s fabulous background. I think everyone needs to know how much Mr Norman “feels like chicken tonight.”

    Eric Blair (4821cb)

  65. Jeff Norman, is now saying:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jeff-norman/polanski-lawyer-says-clie_b_405766.html

1.Where he says Judicial Misconduct is a virtual fact. He watched the movie after all.
2.Suggests the public is not privy to information ‘to think anything’, even though the contents of the Grand Jury and probation reports are public record.
3.Says that Polanski is not a danger any more. As if a murderer who is now old is no longer going to do it again, so let him go.
    4. He also thinks Polanski can only be charged with the rape charge he admitted to. (Yes Jeffrey statutory rape is still rape).

Unless I am mistaken the extradition is based on the crime and the fleeing of jurisdiction, so the extradition is based on both crimes.

Why is Norman so “okay” with Polanski having sex with a little girl of 13? How has judicial misconduct come about from a photograph published in the Santa Monica newspaper? The Judge’s local paper, as if the Judge does not read, or his clerks or his friends. If Wells handed him the newspaper that day, why on earth does anyone think he had not already read it?

He falsely claims this would not be a crime in Europe. It is a crime in 95% of Europe. The other 5% the local townfolk take care of the attacker without the help of laws.

Norman’s fellow Huffpost author, fully disassembles Norman!

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-seitzman/barely-guilty-an-answer-t_b_406722.html

Lastly Norman, seems to think that a person anally raped, and ejaculated into, while protesting to have Polanski stop, is going to “misremember” the event.

Norman all I can suggest is you get that done to yourself, and see how forgetful you become. Report back with the data.
