Joe Trippi Signs on as Fox News Contributor

Joe Trippi, Howard Dean’s Presidential campaign chairman, will join Fox News as a contributor:

“Joe Trippi, who served as campaign manager for Howard Dean’s unique bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, has signed on for a new ride: FOX News contributor.

The Swamp has learned that the indefatigable Democrat will join the lineup of commentators on call for political analysis at the No. 1 cable news network. Trippi will help FOX ring in the new year, the Swamp hears, starting as an on-air contributor on Jan. 1.”

This is an interesting addition given Howard Dean’s strident opposition to ObamaCare in recent days.

  2. This may not add much informative value, but I bet it makes for some great television.

  5. Why the hell are they hiring this guy? I don’t care what he says. If I want to hear the Left, I go to the dinosaurs.

  6. Trippi is pretty smart. He got Dean’s campaign set up with better internet apps than any other Democrat. He may see a Dem wipeout next year and is buying unemployment insurance.

Agreed. Any fool can look at the ratings right now and see that if you want to get your message out there to the most people, regardless of your politics, you go to Fox.

  9. Alan Colmes ultimately failed at playing Professor Snape to Hannity’s Potter and O’Reilly’s Dumbledore, but Trippi will be a marvelous new target for conservative viewers to hate — and deservedly so.

I personally think the man is a snake: Despite the likely boost he’ll bring to the ratings, I doubt that he’ll often bring a good-faith point of view to set out the liberal viewpoint. I regret to see Fox hire him when there are plenty of alternatives around who are far less oily.
