It’s getting to crunch time in Week 11. Is anyone brave enough to predict the final BCS standings?

  1. The mighty Northwestern Wildcats defeated Illinois in Champaign today. Howzat taste JD?

  2. Let’s say Alabama gets blown out by Auburn and Florida State beats Florida. The two teams play a sloppy scoreless tie in the SEC title game that has to be settled by a field goal in the third overtime. Let’s also say that Texas loses to A&M and then to Nebraska in the Big XII title game. Can we then get the Boise State-TCU matchup that we all want? Or will Cincinnati play spoiler?

    (OK, it’s a stretch.)

  6. Bwahaha!

Another ass-whipping for USC. That Stanford running back is a beast.

  7. So, who are THE Ohio State Buckeyes going to play in the Rose Bowl?

  8. btw, my picks are before the bowl games 🙂 so technically not ‘final’ standings

  9. I wanted standing before the bowl games, Lord Nazh, so we’re thinking alike.

  10. At lest A&M won’t gt beat 77-0 on this trip to Norman.

I live in Fort Worth. Someone tell me why I pay Top 5 ticket prices to watch A&M put on Bottom 10 performances, when I could watch the fourth best team in the country for about a quarter of the same amount.

  11. La Tech is the bestest team EVAH !!! Daleyrocks – beating the Illini is the equivalent of being more honest than timmah. USC bent over and grabbed their ankles. Gators again less than impressive. Ohio St and Iowa was painful to watch.

  12. so technically the answer to your question DRJ is yes 🙂 but so far only one

  13. Diffus,

TCU is looking good, isn’t it? Plus, I’ve been to several TCU games but I’ve never seen a sellout like tonight’s.

  14. Golden Tate, again. They may still lose, but he’s got them back within a touchdown after being on the verge of a blowout to a very good team.

    Too bad Weis is Weis.

  15. JD, I condemn your LaTech comment….you did that just to piss me off, didn’t you???

However, they at least played Boise State better than Idaho did….

LSU will finish in the top 5-6, and have a great New Year somewhere in a fun place…

Next year will be even better….

Florida will beat Texas for the National Title….

And, Cincinnati, Boise State and TCU will all lose in their bowl games, unless they play each other….

Matador, you Irish idiots got what you deserved….a narcissistic SOB….loved every minute of that ass-whipping LSU put on them in the Sugar Bowl in ’06….

  16. Here is how I see the BCS bowls shaping up:

The BCS Championship will be between Alabama and Texas.

The Rose will be between Oregon and Ohio State

The Sugar will be Florida and TCU (and I think TCU is a better team than some folks here think. They are beating the hell out of people.)

The Orange Bowl will be between Georgia Tech and Cincinnati (And yes, remarkably, I see the Big East putting two teams into BCS games. Pitt will beat Cinci, and both teams will have one loss).

The Fiesta Bowl is the Rub. It normally takes a Big 12 team, but in my opinion the only Big 12 team that will have the numbers for a BCS game is Texas, and they are going to the show. The organizers can reach for Oklahoma St., but I think it will probably be a three loss team by then, so they are out. So I am predicting Pitt (which will win the Big East), and Boise State (yes, two non BCS conference teams this year).

  17. Colts win !!!

  18. […] my Dad says, this is a day late and dollar short … but honorable mention goes to Roscoe for his BCS bowl game predictions made over a month before the end of the BCS season. (For […]
