Well, among the many terms and behaviors I have encountered over time, that is one I had missed.

So, it is not that he is being doubly insulting in one statement, but triply so. Indeed, quite audacious.

As said above, the gesture to Clinton was at the level of a teenage boy not worthy of respect. That an adult would do it, in public, ought to be seen as embarrassingly uncouth.

I feel sorry for his daughters, knowing what they will have to confront in future years.

Teabag = when the dominate male sticks his testicles into a submissive sexual partner's mouth.

Sounds insane, but that's what Anderson Cooper meant when he said "It's hard to talk when you're teabagging". This, combined with CNN's reporter on the scene of a TEA party screaming at the protestors, led to a lot of irritation by protestors that instead of a debate, they were getting attacked with disgusting insults by a press that had abandoned impartiality.

Some of the left smelled a button they could press to get a chuckle out of die hard leftists and anger out of conservatives. So MSNBC picked it up, KOS picked it up, and even a few psycho democrats picked it up. Obama must surround himself with nothing but liberals if he didn't realize he has absolutely nothing to gain from this level of discourse.

Then again, I am familiar with Obama's book, Audacity (the one he probably had a hand in writing), and familiar with Obama's preacher and chosen mentor for Obama's daughters. Obama loves divisive, hateful, sexual rhetoric. He delights in chauvanism. He hates the right. He likes cocaine and racism. This is the kind of person you would expect to say 'Teabag anti-government extremists'. Many democrats have apologized for using this term without understanding it. Months ago. Obama knows what he was saying.

He knew what he was saying when he said Palin was a lipstick wearing pig, and flipped off Hillary. This is the change they were waiting for, for some reason.

MD in Philly, "teabagger" is an insulting label, which references a slang term for a sexual practice. Its the liberals favorite way to show their utter lack of class and tendency for name calling in place of debate.

could Obama have possibly gained a single vote by using that teabag slur? Anyone out there who is motivated positively by it is already going to vote for Obama, and there are a lot of middle of the road folks who heard Obama promise tax cuts an deficit reduction, and are now going to hear Obama use disgusting language to describe people who want limited government.

Are they really extremists? For what?

His campaign rhetoric told us how Obama views everyday Americans but his recent quote tells us what Obama thinks about how representative government works: Get them before they get you.

"the teabag, anti-government people"

Not only does he set up a straw man with his terminolgy ("anti-government"), but he (purposefully?) slams at the same time, referring to them as "teabaggers" (I thought it was "tea-party" extremists- maybe tea-bagger is being used, I guess I haven't been paying attention to the unimportant)
