"Now he’s been thrown under the bus by the White House for signing his name to a petition expressing something that 35% of all Democrats believed as of 2007 — that George Bush knew in advance about the attacks of 9/11. Well, that and calling Republicans “assholes.” I’m pretty sure that if you search through the histories of every single liberal leader at the CAF dinner that night, they have publicly said that and worse."

No doubt Hamster can't accept the fact that 37% of the public according to a recent poll believe there is something to the charge the birthers are making. And unlike the truthers's Obama is making the case for the birthers, why else spend nearly a a million in legal fees fighting the release of his long form birth certificate? Just like Kerry never actually getting around to releasing the actual document. Probably our Kenyan-Indonesian President never formally renounced his dual or triple citizenship and may have travelled on one of those passports after the age of 18.

In 2013 when the new republican administration starts investigating their immediate predecessor for all manner of national security breaches, corruption and the fact that Obummer may not have been fully forthcoming with his citizenship status the fun and games will start.

This may not be the best place to post this comment, but I will anyway.

I think that Van Jones is a smart guy who did incredibly stupid things to please the people he agrees with. When one is addressing an audience of sycophants, one enjoys the adulation that follows.

He made the age-old mistake of thinking that the smartest guy in the room is the smartest guy.

Plenty of people, left and right, make that mistake.

But, what he forgot is the great American center. They have troubles and toil and pain, but they also know that government is not always the answer.

And before I get the racist charge, let me say this. Thousands, if not millions, of people around the world want to live here to experience what we take for granted.

Despite what our home-grown discontents think, we still do offer the highest standard of living in the free world. We're certainly not perfect, but we're not evil, either.

But, when someone, or several someones, decide that our freedom is detrimental to the overall pursuit of happiness in the world, well the humble masses get a tad mad.

Because, we, as a nation, give people a chance. I can give you examples, but if I do, I'll be denounced as a racist.

I do know this, though, people come to this nation to achieve, to be someone, to be recognized and to be successful.

And they come here because they can't reach those goals in whatever country you choose.

When native-born Americans decide to declare that we are a nation of hate, because citizens voice their disapproval of government actions, what do you expect to happen? When we are called racists, simply because of policy disagreements, why do you suppose people get mad?

Because some guy is smart, we're supposed to give him a pass.

Folks, it's on the record:

He said he was a black nationalist.

Then he said he was a Communist.

Then he signs a petition that alleges that the government allowed the murder of more than 3,000 of its citizens.

Then he calls the opposition party a*holes because he disagrees with their views.

Maybe he wasn't so smart. Just maybe he listened too much to his echo chamber.

And, maybe, that proves he wasn't fit to be in a position of authority within the United States Government.

And, neither am I. But I don't hear a lot of people whining about it, though.
