One-on-One With Obama (Updated)

Filed under: Obama — DRJ @ 3:19 pm

[Guest post by DRJ]

America has record unemployment and deficits, sour financial news, and is fighting a war in Afghanistan but fortunately President Obama is answering the tough questions:

“Do you have the power to make the school lunches better?” [Damon] Weaver asked.

“Well, you know, I remember when I used to get school lunches sometimes they didn’t taste so good, I gotta admit,” confessed Obama. “We are actually seeing if we can work to at least make school lunches healthier.”

More power to this little reporter but doesn’t Obama have better things to do than spend an hour with a sixth grader?

UPDATE: He’s also interviewed VP Joe Biden and Damon told ABC News that “President Obama is not much long-winded as Biden”. Heh.

  1. Well, it’s almost time for the traditional Friday night Obama Administration news dump.

  2. Oh please. Any time Obama spends with sixth graders is time he’s not spending cooking up his next horrible plan. More sixth graders, stat!

  3. with any luck, he’ll get some good ideas from them, cause it’s blindingly obvious he couldn’t produce one on his own if his worthless life depended on it.

i’ve got rocks out in the yard smarter than his dumb ass.

  4. Whatever.

Our president ate a lot of school lunches cause his mommy couldn’t hold onto a man so they were on welfare a lot. Later on she just dumped him at grandma’s house and scooted.

You’d think with his background he might have a more better perspective on how maybe school lunch healthyness is not the biggest dealio in the lives of the childrens what have to eat school welfare food.

Don’t ever ever let this hood rat that canceled school vouchers for D.C. kids tell you he gives a crap about children.

He just wants his dirty socialist government to pwn them from day one.

  5. Hey’s gotta keep up the campaign steam. The election is getting nearer and nearer.

  6. I’m surprised Obama would actually appear with 5th graders. Most of them can show up Obama’s knowledge and its hard to rough up a sixth grader.

  7. I’ve been making my daughter’s school lunch for two years. Obama and his lazy, uncaring, sleaze-bag, won’t feed their own kids, too busy smoking crack, constituency can go and *&^% themeselves.

  8. Maybe the little President can see about decreasing homework loads, increasing recces time and not making the school bus come so early. He’ll probably have the time since we want him to stop working on his ludicrous agenda.

  9. the question he gets from this 6th grader are almost as tough as the ones he gets from the grown-ups he’s colluding with at these townhall meetings.

    what a joke.

  10. No there isn’t.

  11. “Why can’t these 6th graders let me finish my school lunch?”

    Dmac (e6d1c2)

  12. We need to select 1200+ winners for “President for A Day” from the 6th-Grades of America, and send The One “Back To School”!
    Or course, Joe would pout.

  13. Ok,Ok,this was a feel-good,politician kisses baby story.Fine, don’t mind that so much, even when he should have more important things to do,but…

Doesn’t every school/school district have degreed, licensed Dietitans working for them? I mean HOW can he “actually look into making school lunches more healthy”?

This little irritation is no more important than the whole story is,but his ego is just annoying to the max!

  14. He causes much less carnage when he is doing these kinds of things.

Nope. In our school we send our kids to school with the lunches we made for them. Of course, we’re not guaranteed Obama constituents.

  16. Eehn, I just ate pizza hut every day in highschool. I could have had the “healthy” school lunch, but it was also pizza, and much nastier.

  17. I updated the post with more about Damon from ABC News.

Awesomely well said – all of it.

  19. He could be peacefully reading “My Pet Goat” for kids at some Elementary School after learning that Al Qaeda is determined to strike inside the U.S.

    oderfla (50fd11)

  20. oderfla, you mean showing patience and composure as the secret service and air force did whatever they had to do to ensure the president could get in the air safely?

Yeah, Bush really mess up by not jumping into his SR-71 and preventing 9/11. He probably was in on it. Skull and bones and all that.

    Juan (bd4b30)

  21. […] So Obama was saying that August and September is the time when people in Washington pee or piss on ideas? He should have said so, albeit in a more professional way. What’s more, Gibbs says it’s a phrase he uses, too. I think they’ve been spending too much time giving interviews to sixth graders. […]
