"Republicans aren’t all stupid. They know our health care is horrible."

I gotta disagree with this one. My biggest encounter with health care in the U.S. was October 30, 2002. I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and I was put into the James Graham Brown Cancer Treatment Center at the University of Louisville Hospital that afternoon. I received excellent care and after two weeks of Chemotherapy and two weeks fo recovery, I was sent home to rest. A month later I was back in the Hospital for the consolidation phase fo Chemo, for another month. Then I was pronounced to be in remission. Aetna paid all the bills. Aetna never asked anything of me, other than after I got home, they called to ask if there was anything more I would need for my recovery. I am now heading into 7 years in remission and Aetna still takes care of all my medical needs. The U.S. health care system is very good.

BTW, while I was going through treatments for Leukemia, my brother was in the UCSF medical center having a Bi-Lateral Lung Transplant. His was paid for by a combination of Medicaid, Medi-Cal, and Medicare.

There is a "Public Option" in the system, for the poor, already. Contrary to Obama's assertions.

After reading the entire 1017, droning, pages of text, of HR3200, one question came to mind that rose above all others.

"If this debate is truly about making health care affordable and available, why is so much of the bill directed at putting rules, restraints, and limitations on DOCTORS? Isn't one of the goals here making health care more accessable? How do you accomplish that by limiting the amount of medicine doctors practice?
